Sky Atlantic has announced the cast for new crime drama The Tunnel.

Stephen Dillane (Game of Thrones) and Clémence Poésy (Birdsong) will lead the ten-part series, based on the format of The Bridge.

Adapted sejak an Anglo-French Penulisan team led sejak Ben Richards (Spooks, Outcasts) and directed sejak Dominik Moll (The Monk), The Tunnel will begin filming this bulan and is due to air later this year.

The official synopsis reads: "When a prominent French politician is found dead on the border between the UK and France, detectives Karl Roebuck (Dillane) and Elise Wassermann (Poésy) are sent to investigate on behalf of their respective countries. However, the case takes a surreal turn when a shocking discovery is made at the crime scene, forcing the French and British police into an uneasy partnership. As the serial killer uses ever lebih elaborate and ingenious methods to highlight the moral bankruptcy of modern society, Karl and Elise are drawn deeper into his increasingly personal agenda."

Other cast members will include: Joseph Mawle (Game of Thrones) as social worker, Stephen Beaumont; Tom Bateman (Da Vinci’s Demons) as journalist, Danny Hillier; Tobi Bakare (Silent Witness) as Chuks Akinade; Jeanne Balibar (All About Actresses) as charlotte Joubert; Thibault de Montalembert (Days of Glory) as the Head of the Calais police; Mathieu Carrièrre as Charlotte’s husband, Alain; and Angel Coulby (Merlin) and Jack Lowden (Mrs Biggs) as Karl’s wife and son, Laura and Adam Roebuck.

Episode 2 will see Keeley Hawes (Ashes to Ashes) sertai as Suze Harcourt, a drug-addicted care worker to Harriet, played sejak Liz Smith (The Royle Family).

To Whom it May Concern:

I have been watching “Merlin” since the beginning, and have enjoyed it immensely. It’s good entertainment, with a compelling cast of characters and it is honest fun, Fantasi escapism.

That being said, I am very disappointed in how King Arthur and Queen Guinevere’s marriage has been depicted this series.

As a bit of background, I have been happily married for fourteen years, so my komen-komen come from experience, not speculation.

Thus far we’ve seen them interact one-on-one a total of three times, and all three scenes have been very short and without much depth.
