When Avril Lavigne splashed onto the scene eight years ago, the punk princess fueled her angsty, rebellious image with a pop-rock sound that had peminat-peminat hooked. On her new album, the singer is ready to push her musical boundaries sejak mixing her signature sound with hip-hop elements, according to producer Alex Da Kid.
"It's a mixture of pop/rock and what I do," the "Love the Way anda Lie" hitmaker told Rap-Up TV. "We've got some things that are hip-hop leaning, and we've got some things that are lebih pop/rock leaning, so it's what we both do just kind of combined into one thing."
The British producer explained that the songstress had her label reach out to him after hearing B.o.B and Hayley Williams' mega-hit "Airplanes."
As hinted in the letter Lavigne telah diposkan on her website to her peminat-peminat this past week, Alex suggested that the singer has experienced some hardships with her record label when it comes to the release of the yet-to-be-titled album.
"I'm not sure what's going on with the album, just because she's been working on this album for a long time," he said. "So I think there's a lot of stuff going on politically and behind the scenes.
"I really liked working with her," he added. "She's really cool and down to earth. It was a good experience."
He recalled their drunk studio sessions, but kept tight-lipped about other track details, saying, "We're working it all out, so it's probably too early to talk about it."
While he might not know exactly when the LP will drop, Alex knows all too well about fans' pleas for new Avril Lavigne material.
"Her peminat-peminat hit me up on Twitter every hari about 'When's the album coming out?' 'When's the single coming out?' so I know there's a big demand for it," he said. "Hopefully, it'll be out soon, and we'll see what happens."

"Falling Down"
If fears what makes us decide,
Our future journey,
I'm not along for the ride,
Cuz I'm still learning,
To try and touch the sun,
My fingers burning,
Before you're old anda are young,
Yeah I'm still learning
[Chorus]
I am falling down,
Try and stop me,
It feels so good to hit the ground,
anda can watch me,
Fall right on my face,
It's an uphill human race,
and I am falling down
I'm standing out in the street,
The earth is moving,
I feel it under my feet,
And I'm still proving,
That I can stand my ground,
And my feet are there, haven't washed my hair
Too be Lost before anda are found,
Don't mean anda are losing
[Chorus]
Some hari I'll live in a house
Etc., etc., etc.
But anda know that's not for now
and for now I'm falling
down...down...down...,
down...down...down,
down...down...down,
Yeah e Yeah..Yeah e Yeah,
[Chorus]
I'm falling down,
I'm falling down..I'm falling down...
I'm falling....
Feels so good to hit the ground...
I am falling

"How Does It Feel"
I'm not afraid of anything
I just need to know that i can breathe
I don't need much of anything
But suddenly, suddenly
I am small and the world is big
All around me is fast moving
Surrounded sejak so many things
But suddenly, suddenly
[Chorus]
How does it feel, to be different from me?
Are we the same?
How does it feel, to be different from me?
Are we the same?
How does it feel?
I'm young, and I am free
But I get tired, and I get weak
I get lost, and I can't sleep
But suddenly, suddenly
[Chorus]
[Bridge]
Would anda comfort me
Would anda cry with me;
Ahh, ahh, ahh-ah
ahh, ahh-ah
ahh, ahh-ah
ahh, ahh-ah
Ahh, ahh, ahh-ah
ahh, ahh-ah
ahh, ahh-ah
ahh, ahh-ah
I am small and the world is big
But I'm not afraid of anything;
[Chorus x2]
[Ending (background)]
How does it feel [x2]
Different from me, different...
(ahh, ahh, ahh-ah;
ahh-ah,
ahh-ah,
ahh, ahh, ahh-ah;
ahh-ah,
ahh-ah)
I'm not afraid of anything

All that I did was walk over
Start off sejak shaking your hands
That's how it went
I had a smile on my face and I sat up straight
Oh, yeah, yeah
I wanted to know you
I wanted to tunjuk you
[chorus]
anda don't know me
Don't ignore me
anda don't want me there
anda just shut me out
anda don't know me
Don't ignore me
If anda had your way
You'd just shut me up
Make me go away
No, I just don't understand why
anda won't talk to me
It's hurts that I'm so unwanted for nothing
Don't talk words against me
I wanted to know you
I wanted to tunjuk you
[chorus]
Make me go away
I tried to belong
It didn't seem wrong
My head aches
Its been so long
I'll write this song
If that's what it take
[chorus (2x)]
Make me go away
Make me go away
Start off sejak shaking your hands
That's how it went
I had a smile on my face and I sat up straight
Oh, yeah, yeah
I wanted to know you
I wanted to tunjuk you
