I was wondering if people could explain why I should watch this show? It has been mentioned alot with mostly positive reviews but I would like to hear from the peminat-peminat rather than the 'expert critics.'

It is simply one of the smartest shows ever. It raises serious moral issues from science versus religion, to how democracy can make things worse in times of war and what does war turn people into. The storyline and characters are based on certain religious archetypes which makes it impossible to fully relate to only one character because they are not the typical hero type, lebih anti-hero. It has amazing angkasa battles, visual effects and the ending will make anda think about the situation we are living through.

The other answer covered a lot of the reasons why the tunjuk is brilliant. I did not care for any of the original series. it was an average campy 70s scifi tunjuk and i didn't bother with galactica 1980. nothing special there. The new series touches on everything previously said. But i was drawn in sejak these characters in something i was only mildly interested in. its a beautiful tunjuk visually. the Muzik is bahagian, atas notch and really draws anda into the scene. The Best thing on the tunjuk is the Berlakon Edward James perfect for the role. The rest of the cast is exceptionally great as well. Another attraction i had to this tunjuk was that it had a scifi nature however was set in space. This brought a whole new aspect to anda average character drama that hasn't been seen a lot. Im trying to be vague to avoid spoiling anything at all but with the brilliant and relevent story lines, the excellent Berlakon and visuals and the beautiful perfect score sejak menanggung, bear mcreary this tunjuk was definitely worth the time i spent watching it. I have never shed a tear at the end of a tv tunjuk atau movie but i did at the end of daybreak (the last ep.) Not because of what happened but just because it was over.

I never saw the original ones but I decided one hari I wanted to see the new one. First anda have to watch the mini series, otherwise series 1 wont make any sense, so i watched that and im on series 1 now, nearly at the end, i have one episode left and i find it very good. well written and the characters are definitely intriguing, i find the most interesting to be the relationship between gaius and number 6. there are a lot of interesting splot lines. if anda like sci fi im sure youd like it.

There's a lot of spaceship action and fighting going on. The first episode is actually four hours long. It's also based on BSG from the 70's I believe. Richard Hatch who played Apollo is in the remake.

I believe what makes this tunjuk an excellent choice is 'tension'. No matter if anda watch romances, drama, Sci Fi, atau whatever, the ability to reflect contrast and tension between characters is really what drives a story. This is true with the written word, and if anda have ever written music, tension is a key tool to create flow. The tunjuk does a great job of that, some characters are better than others in my opinion, but the actors themselves do a great job portraying what they need to. I don't watch much TV, and am catching up with a lot via Netflix, thus I didn't know many names. In my opinion, Katee Sackhoff's and Mary McDonnell's characters couldn't be better (which is in no way a negative to other members of the cast - I am sure everyone has their own view point on which they find most relatable), that alone makes the tunjuk worth watching.

The authors managed to make sexy girls out of dressed, dirty fighters.. that is why it is so great. Somewhere I read that peminat-peminat are mostly men... which is proven in my home... my wife hates the show.
