I see it a lot in this fandom of people saying how fanfic is better than the show(totally disagree, but to each their own), so I was curious. I don’t read much fanfiction, but I put them so separate from the show, so it doesn’t change my opinion of TV!Chair at all.

It doesn't change my opinion, really. However, sometimes it illuminates POV; for example, post 3x17 fics helped me understand Chuck's actions and where he was coming from.

I think that if you only read fics where they are in character, it's not gonna change how you view them cause the couple in that story you're reading is the same of the show, only in a different situation, if that makes sense. Their personality and the way they act is gonna be the same.

As for which is better, I find both show and fanfiction equally pleasurable. I guess the advantage of fics is that everything is about CB, so I don't have to stand scenes I'm not interested in before getting to the good part. In that way. I can see why someone would prefer fanfiction.

Dislike fanfiction, especially Chair fanfiction. Anyone who says FF is better than the show is an idiot.

I'm very selective with what I read. But it does make me love them more. I think because in fiction you really get their thought process. You can really dive deep into the characters.
