*Temperance Brennan's point of view*
It was a typical hari in D.C. Outside, the sky was a pale lavender, and the clouds a faded white. The only strange thing was that I was really exicted to go to the Jeffersonian. The reason? I would get to see Booth. Ever since we started to.... anda know, go out, I was always estatic to see him. I ran to my bathroom, brushed my teeth, and washed my face. While I was looking in the mirror, I saw someone I did not reconize. Her eyes lighted up her face like a child's did on Krismas morning. Her lips were in a beautiful smile. I shook my head, and turned my back on the woman in the mirror.
While I was driving to work(and trying not to break the speed limit) I heard my phone buzz. I looked at the caller ID to see that it was Booth.
"Hey Booth. Whats up?"
"Hey, we got a new case. 27-year-old Marissa Clevetz dissapeard 3 weeks ago. And they found.... her remains yesterday." I did not know why Booth sounded so depressed. He was usually upbeat. What was up with him? "Um... I will be there as soon as possible. I Cinta you."
"Love anda too, Bones." And then the phone went dead.
After I got out of my car, I saw Booth was waiting at his car, for me. I walked over, slow and dramitc, to meet him. He gave me a quick peck on the lips, and then said, "Well, better get to work." We walked in, and Angela walked over to me.
"The remains found yesterday were verified as Marissa Clevetz. I am sorry, Booth." Great. Now every one was keeping secrets from me now. I tugged on Booth's arm, and led him into my office. He looked confused. "Why is Marissa so important to you?" I berkata demandingly. He looked at me, and he sighed. "Marissa was... a really great family friend. I considered her as a sister to me. When I heard she had"-he struggled to find the right word-"passed, I kinda freaked out. That is why I sounded so strange on the phone." I gasped, and wrapped my arms around his waist. "I am really sorry, Seeley."
Booth was really quiet. He stayed as far away from Marissa's remains as possible. While on break, we went to the Royal Diner. He finally spoke.
"Well, I guess now is the time for some epal, apple pie." But he only had 1 bite of his pie. Now that was strange. Wait, oh yeah. Marissa. I took his hand, and said, "Booth, we will find who ever did this. I promise." He only held my hand for a few seconds. He then stood up, and said, "You know what,Tempe? We will find him." He then put one hand around my waist, and lead me out the door.
