Chapter 18
When they got back, they were surprised to see Sam, Laura, Tony and jay where all back from their trip. They had apparently been here since late last night. They spent their last hari taking in the every detail of the views. As Genevieve promised, she took them for one last trail ride up the mountain. Then they had dinner, and went to sleep.
The seterusnya day, they woke up early and packed their things. Everyone had come to say goodbye to them. After a few words and handshakes, they loaded their luggage. It was then, that Brennan noticed Genevieve standing alone on the veranda. A sad look occupied her face as she watched. She nudged Booth and indicated at Gen.

Genevieve nodded and waved as they got in the car and drove to the air port.
After a quiet plane trip back, they arrived in D.C and made their own ways home. A few days later, it was time to go back to work. Booth picked Brennan up and they talked as they drove. They were about to walk in the lab door when Booth pulled Brennan aside and asked, “What about Angela? She knows when two people are together just sejak looking at them.”
“Well, we have to face them some time, so there’s no point of delaying.” She walked quietly in. Booth followed quietly. Zac, Hodgins, Angela and Cam were on the platform. They all turned around when they heard the beeping after a card is swiped.
“How was the trip?” Cam asked.
“Okay.” Booth answered, then followed Brennan towards her office. Angela and Hodgins gave exchanged grins and stared after them.
Later on, Booth and Brennan where sitting on the sofa, kerusi panjang in Brennan’s office, discussing their case, when Angela and Hodgins barged in. Booth and Brennan went to get up, but were pushed back down into the sofa. Then they were blinded sejak the meja light being shone in their eyes.

“No, anda weren’t! Besides, it wasn’t a real bet.”
“Yes it was! And I was right!”
Hodgins was about to speak when Angela cut him off.
“Girl time.” she berkata as she pull Booth and Hodgins to the door.
“I’ll pick anda up at 6, Bones.” Booth managed to say before he was thrown out of the office, door shut behind him.
Angela hurried back and jumped on the couch.
“OOOOO! Okay, tell me everything. Is he tanned? How big are his mussels? Is he good? Is it big!?”
“Ange! That’s for me to know, especially the last one.”
“Oh come on Sweetie! I’ll never get to find out if anda don’t tell me!”
Brennan was quiet for a minute, then berkata with a devilish smile, “Fine, but anda can’t tell anyone.”
“Don’t forget details.” she reminded her.
Brennan gave her a face, but when Angela didn’t back down, she started her detailed story.
That night, Booth picked Brennan up at 6 and they went to the diner. After that, they went back to her place and Brennan invited Booth to stay the night. After Booth finally convinced Brennan to watch Family Guy, they went for an early night, but it ended up being a very physically tiering late one.
The seterusnya day, Booth went to work and Brennan to the lab.
“The fractures on the front of the skull suggest the victim was smashed into a wall, and then stabbed in the spine.” berkata Zac as he examined the bones.
“Where is doctor Hodgins? We need to know what particulates Zac found on the victim’ jacket.” Asked Cam.
“Oh, he’ll be along. Reassured Angela with a devilish smile.
“Well I hope it’s soon.” berkata Brennan.
At that moment, they all heard the swipe of a card and turned around. Hodgins walked onto the platform with a humiliated face wearing a pink, children’s fairy costume, with tights and a tiara. Cam and Brennan were shocked but containing their smiles. Zac nearly dropped the skull and Angela was nearly doubled over laughing.
“The particulate we found were dust from a children’s playground.” He berkata with a displeased tone.
“Just like your dress?” teased Cam in a smart tone.
Now Angela had to hold onto the meja, jadual to keep herself from falling to the floor. At that moment, Booth walked in, eyes glued to a piece of paper.
“The victims name is Marion Sharronay.” He walked past Hodgins and lowered the piece of paper so he could see their faces. “Hey, just before, I saw this gay guy wearing a merah jambu fairy costume. Here. What idiot does that?” Now Angela dropped to her knees laughing. Brennan couldn’t hold back any lebih either, she had a huge smile on her face. That’s when Booth noticed Hodgins standing seterusnya to him. He stared at Booth with a blank expression. Booth held the piece of paper over half his face so he wouldn’t see how oversized his smile was.
Hodgins pulled the tiara off his head and put it on the table.
“Are anda all just going to laugh at me?”
The only answered he got was being mocked and teased. Even Sweets was cracking himself.
“Right, I’m leaving.” berkata Hodgins as he stomped away.
“Don’t forget your crown ‘twinkle toes!” yelled Booth so half the jeffersonian could hear. Now half the lab was laughing at him. Hodgins quickly returned, grabbed it from Booth’s grasp and walked away faster, leaving the noise of laughing behind.
“I see why they call them tights.” He muttered to himself.
