At that, they related the story of how the Gravedigger had put Booth on a ship that was to be destroyed with explosives and sunk. In order to find the location of where Booth was Tempy had asked Jared to get a cadaver from the FBI. Because he had misused his authority to get the body, the Navy discharged him.
Booth’s mother asked. “Tempy what did anda say to Jared for him to get the body? He berkata that when anda had first asked him he berkata he couldn’t but then anda berkata something that made him change his mind. What was it?”
Brennan looked at Booth before she answered. “I told him he did not deserve to have a brother like Booth, who was always there for him and now that he needs help anda refuse.”
“Jared had berkata that anda made him realize how much his brother has done for him and that he did what he needed to do. He also told us how anda had hit him before Seeley’s birthday.” Kate said.
Booth looked at Bones with a surprised expression and asked. “You hit Jared?”
“Booth, remember when anda were upset with me because I told anda what Jared had berkata about you. anda were so angry and when I confronted Jared about it. He berkata it was between the two of you. That’s when I got mad about what he had berkata and I knocked him to the floor.”
Kate smiled as she saw Seeley’s expression as he looked at Tempy and how she looked back at him. The look between them confirmed what she had suspected.
“Seeley, I understand that anda tried to get him another job and had even lined up an interview, but he just wanted to go to India. Is that right, son?” Pops asked.
“Yes sir.” Answered Booth as he looked at his father waiting to see what he is going to say next.
“I know anda have always looked out for your little brother and I want anda to know how proud I am of anda and what anda have become.”
Brennan could see that Booth was surprised to hear this from his father and how pleased he was to hear it.
They continued to talk into the afternoon. Later, Kate asked Brennan to come into the dapur for some girl talk while Seeley talked with his father.
“Tempy I know anda like my son but do anda Cinta him because I know he loves you.”
“Kate, we’re just partners.”
“Tempy I saw how anda looked at each other today and anda both finish each other’s sentences. Just think about what I said. Oh, another thing Seeley will never make the first move.”
Meanwhile Booth was saying goodbye to his father.
“Pops we have to get back to the city so I just wanted to say goodbye.”
“Seeley, anda have a great girl there and don’t let her go.”
“I won’t Pops.”
As they drove away, Brennan couldn’t help but think about what Kate had said. That she could be in Cinta with Booth. I know I like Booth. He’s the one I can always rely on. He’s the one who left the hospital when he was injured to save me. He’s the one who helped me solve my mother’s murder. He’s the one who helped me reconcile with my father. He’s the one who helped me find my family again. He’s the one whose shoulder I am always leaning on. He’s the one I trust. He’s the one I respect. He’s the one I chose to be the father of my child. Why didn’t I notice before, it is so logical. He’s the one.
They arrived back at the hotel a little after seven. As they entered the room, Brennan asked Booth if he wanted to have makan malam, majlis makan malam before going back to DC.
“Yes Bones might as well since I have a long drive ahead of me and so do you.”
“Booth, I’m going to stay another night and drive back in the morning. I’m going to call the front meja and let them know while anda look at the menu for room service.”
As Booth looked at the menu, Brennan called the concierge.
“Booth, anda order for us, while I take a quick shower.”
“Bones what do anda want?”
“You know what I like.” She answered as she quickly went into the bathroom. Booth called down to room service and ordered dinner.
Booth was thinking about his talk with his dad and what he had berkata about not letting Bones go, when she emerged from the bathroom wrapped in one of the hotel’s fluffy white bathrobe.
“Booth, do anda want to take a pancuran, pancuran mandian before dinner?”
“Good idea, Bones.”
While Booth was in the shower, the waiter arrived with dinner. He also brought the extra beers for the mini bar and the other items she had requested when she spoke with the concierge.
Brennan was pleased to see that Booth had ordered her a salad and a pinggan of sandwiches for the two of them to share.
She headed for the bedroom with the extra items. While she was in the bedroom the water stopped and Booth came into the room with a towel wrapped around his waist.
“Bones sorry I did not know that anda were going to get dressed in here. Let me just grab my duffel and I’ll get dressed in the bathroom.”
As he moved across the room he saw what she had in her hands and asked. “What are the pillows for, Bones?”
“Booth, anda hit me in the head this morning with a bantal and I just wanted to return the favor.”
Brennan then took one of the pillows and hit him with it.
Booth looked at her with astonishment. He could not believe she just hit him with a pillow. Well if she wants a bantal fight she is going to get one. He looked at her with a sly grin and grabbed the pillow.
