I read recently in the Times newspaper that Mr. Forsythe had been taping the TV coverage of soalan time in the house of commons because he had noticed a resembleance to the performances there to some variety acts.

I too noticed that resembleance. My particular example the Tony Blair "Billions spent here, billions spent there" answer to practically any soalan he received.

That answer sung to the old Muzik Hall song "When father painted the parlour" ("Dabbing it here, Dabbing it there) seamed to me to tunjuk the roots of his performance.

The artikel in the Times hinted that a TV tunjuk giving examples of politicians performances and the similarity with tunjuk business acts may be possible. I hope so.
