Exclusive: Cara Delevingne Talks Suicide Squad
Of all the characters in Suicide Squad, the one most shrouded in mystery is Enchantress. We know she's played by Cara Delevingne. We know she's immensely powerful. But we've not had a proper look at her in all her unearthly glory — until now. One of the covers for the new issue of Empire features the grungy but alluring entity known in some vintage comic-book issues as "The Switcheroo Witcheroo".  And inside is an exclusive interview with Delevingne, who spoke to us on-set while clad in her elaborate costume.
"She's an ancient sorceress," says the star. "A feral being. She's been trapped for so long and now she's finally let out." The hapless human whom Enchantress takes over is June Moone, who finds more than she bargained for while exploring a creepy cave. "June is an adventure-seeker who's always wanted some excitement. And she gets what she wished for, in a terrible way."
For more, including the music Delevingne listened to in the make-up chair to get into the Enchantress mindset, and how she freaked out people in a hotel spa, pick up the new issue of Empire, out Thursday. And watch out for more covers, to be revealed soon.
