A look at the history of the classic British comedy Carry On films. Twenty-eight Carry On Filem were made - from Carry On Sergeant in '58 to the last Carry On in '78, Carry On Emmannuelle.

Legendary comedian,stage,film & tv actor Sid James starred in many films & tv series. He was in 19 of the 28 Carry On Filem and was the lovable but frustrated dad in the '70s tv classic Bless This House.

Barbara Windsor, MBE is considered something of a "national institution" in the UK. Although she only made 10 Carry On films she is considered very much a main Carry On cast member. Barbara is currently in the UK series Eastenders.

Kenneth Williams was a talented English radio personality and film actor. Kenneth starred in 26 of the 28 Carry On fims that were made from '58-'78.

Joan Sims' first role in the Carry On films was in '59's Carry On Nurse. She made 24 Carry On movies. In the 90's Joan was a regular on the fav tv series As Time Goes By, which starred Dame Judi Dench.
