It was berkata in a KG interview that in the S2 finale we would get to re-evaluate our opinion of many characters. Ok people may think i'm crazy but i'm going to say it anyway:The Last Dance totally reminded me of the Clearing Scene in the books.
Bonnie for the first time seemed to really trust Damon in this episode. They both showed a sort of mutual understanding and even bond. Which is like the scene in the buku where Bonnie looked into Damon's eyes and realized she was no longer afraid of him and began to understand him better.

The last episode proved to me that Damon will never give a Elena a say atau choice and that Damon will always give Bonnie a say atau a choice. What makes me Cinta Bamon so much is the fact that it's not about choosing one person over another. It's about Damon and Bonnie CHOOSING EACH OTHER. For the first, Damon (and even Bonnie) is not the one being chosen sejak someone else, but instead is the one who is choosing. And it's about him choosing happiness (Bonnie) after so long of being in the shadows of someone else. Just re-watched the Delena scene again. When Damon berkata the classic line to Elena "If it comes down to anda atau the witch again, I will gladly let Bonnie die. I will always choose you", it was a HUGE foreshadow for Bamon's future, like distant future. This episode was just the beginning of their evolvement. I think every character in the TVD novel series is highly aware that there is something special going on between Damon and Bonnie. Stefan knows and sees it, Meredith sees it as well but she is kind of apathetic about it, and also Matt sees it as well and has since the beginning. Alot of people are wondering if Jeremy was jealous of the Bamon dance, but I don't think he was. He had alot on his mind about Bonnie and even Elena. Bamon thought of the day: Damon mocked Stefan for taking care of Elena emotionally, because his concept of Cinta equals protecting someone physically but not emotionally. He's still at a stage where even in love, his feelings of loss/satisfaction come before anyone else's, even his beloved. anda know in this episode I think it was the most little things that were the most important to us. The first one is Bonnie laughing while watching Damon dance. To me that shows that the writers are planning some kind of development in their relationship, maybe towards a friendship. ive watched it and at first when he berkata "ill always choose you" it was weird but then i remembered when damon pretended he didnt care about elena but in the other hand he caressed her face when she was asleep.
same here , he claims he didnt care but his face when bonnie "died" whereas he EVEN knew the truth about her...he caressed her face.
