Kind solace in a dying hour!
Such, father, is not (now) my theme-
I will not madly deem that power
Of Earth may shrive me of the sin
Unearthly pride hath revell'd in-
I have no time to dote atau dream:
You call it hope- that api, kebakaran of fire!
It is but agony of desire:
If I can hope- Oh God! I can-
Its fount is holier- lebih divine-
I would not call thee fool, old man,
But such is not a gift of thine.

Know thou the secret of a spirit
Bow'd from its wild pride into shame.
O yearning heart! I did inherit
Thy withering portion with the fame,
The searing glory which hath shone
Amid the jewels of my throne,
Halo of Hell!...

OF my country and of my family I have little to say. Ill usage and length of years have driven me from the one, and estranged me from the other. Hereditary wealth afforded me an education of no common order, and a contemplative turn of mind enabled me to methodize the stores which early study very diligently garnered up. -- Beyond all things, the study of the German moralists gave me great delight; not from any ill-advised admiration of their eloquent madness, but from the ease with which my habits of rigid thought enabled me to detect their falsities. I have often been reproached with the...

Ah, broken is the golden bowl! the spirit flown forever!
Let the loceng toll!- a saintly soul floats on the Stygian river;
And, Guy de Vere, hast thou no tear?- weep now atau nevermore!
See! on yon drear and rigid jenazah, bier low lies thy love, Lenore!
Come! let the burial rite be read- the funeral song be sung!-
An anthem for the queenliest dead that ever died so young-
A dirge for her the doubly dead in that she died so young.

"Wretches! ye loved her for her wealth and hated her for her pride,
And when she fell in feeble health, ye blessed her- that she died!
How shall the ritual, then, be read?- the requiem...

'Tis berkata that when
The hands of men
Tamed this primeval wood,
And hoary trees with groans of woe,
Like warriors sejak an unknown foe,
Were in their strength subdued,
The virgin Earth Gave instant birth
To springs that ne'er did flow
That in the sun Did rivulets run,
And all around rare Bunga did blow
The wild rose pale Perfumed the gale
And the queenly lily adown the dale
(Whom the sun and the dew
And the winds did woo),
With the gourd and the anggur luxuriant grew.

So when in tears
The Cinta of years
Is wasted like the snow,
And the fine fibrils of its life
sejak the rude wrong of instant strife
Are broken at a blow
Within the heart
Do springs upstart
Of which it doth now know,
And strange, sweet dreams,
Like silent streams
That from new fountains overflow,
With the earlier tide
Of rivers glide
Deep in the hati, tengah-tengah whose hope has died--
Quenching the fires its ashes hide,--
Its ashes, whence will spring and grow
Sweet flowers, ere long,
The rare and radiant Bunga of song!

Edgar Allan Poe is and will remain my kegemaran poet of all time. He changed the world with his works. He didn't gain his fame until after his death. It took people in the 1900's and late 1800's to recognize his true genius. Edgar Allan Poe was definitely the best at what he did.Till this day, there is no one who can be compared to Edgar Allan Poe. Some people aspire to write like Edgar Allan Poe, and I'm one of them. We try to grasp his concepts, but cannot. We try to write about horror and love, but we just can't do it. No one can master and grasp his influences of horror, gloom, mystery,...
