Had Jacob and Bella been meant to be, Jacob would have imprinted on her so I disagree with Jacob when he says he was her natural path. It can't be right. I believe in true love and all that jazz, so I disagree that Bella's natural path would be with someone who isn't her true love which Jacob would have been IF he HAD imprinted on her. It can't be right that she'd live her life without Edward, who is her soul mate (like it or not). Bella needs protection, which Edward gives in large doses.
