I'm pretty anal about this. I hate the little "edited" thing it says under a comment when you edit it (idk, it just makes me feel shady), so I usually quickly delete and then repost. It's never any bad reason for me doing it, it's almost always because of a misspelling, grammar, or my wanting to add more to my comment. I'm sure I've annoyed a few poll makers by doing this xD They get an update that there's a new comment, when they check there's nothing there, and then they get a new comment update about a minute later. Guilty as charged. Sorry, people!

Only time I'll ever edit directly is if someone posted a comment after my comment and it'll throw the whole thing off. And even then I'll likely say "Edited to add more" or "Edited for grammar." Don't want people to think I'm changing my opinion on stuff or was trolling or something.

It depends really. If I notice an error, or realise I had something additional to say, I'll edit it. If it's something like I've changed my mind, I add a second comment explaining my new opinion.

Admittedly I've also done the "copy and delete" thing before too. I wonder if anyone's ever caught me doing that before? I've probably done this one more though. I'm always making typos and only noticing them the second I hit "submit".

Normally If I spot an error or have something else to say or if I change my mind completely I just edit the comment.

Ehh... I gotta go with this one. Only place where I will edit my comments is youtube, because it`s been lagging a lot and sometimes new responses shows up only after some while. Almost everywhere else if there is a chance I`ll delete the wrong one and add a new comment.

Copying, deleting and reposting just sounds very pedantic. Does the "edited" label really annoy people that much?

^ I agree with LowriLorenza89 on this one. As for me, I usually edit my comments directly on the poll comment sections if I notice some misspellings or missing words 'cause I'm a perfectionist and don't want someone to find any errors in my comments which is why I keep doing it. I'm only copying, deleting and reposting comments when I'm writing on someone's wall because is no other option. Yes, sorry for that though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
