Harry Potter vs. Twilight Soalan

Out of all the canon pairings in HP and Twilight, what is one (or more) thing(s) anda didn't like about them?

HP
1-Harry and Ginny: I don't think they make a good couple at all. I think JK just wanted Harry to be an actual part of the Weasleys, so she made him marry Ginny. Molly already thinks of her as a son, so I don't know why Harry and Ginny had to make it official.

2-Bill and Fleur: Although they're cute, they don't make much sense. I don't even remember how atau where they met. If anda haven't read the buku and just saw them as a couple for the first time in the Deathly Hallows Part 1 movie, anda would be thinking, 'who the hell is that??'

3-Lupin and Tonks: I grew to like this couple, but in the beginning I thought it was weird because of the age difference. Also, it seemed like she loved him way lebih than he loved her. I didn't like how he left Tonks (temporarily) when he found out she was pregnant. I know it was because of the curse, but still.

Twilight
1-Bella and Edward: I don't like that she depends on him too much and makes her world all about him. I also don't like how Bella thinks he's so perfect when he's really, really not. I also thought Edward was too controlling and made all of Bella's decisions.

2-Jacob and Renesmee: Okay, seriously. Should they even have been a couple? Imprinting on a newborn is not cool. At all.

3-Jasper and Alice: People will probably get mad that I listed them, but oh well. She had a vision of meeting him. So? Where does it say that they should become soul mates? Jasper seems too calm for Alice's overly bubbly personality. I know opposites attract, but they should have something in common (same reasons could be applied to the other Cullens in terms of how they met)

4-Sam and Emily: Leah was his high school sweetheart, then he sees Emily and imprints instantly. What? Emily didn't even have a choice, nor did she feel bad for Leah. He also scarred her pretty badly and she stayed with him. Although it was an 'accident', who's to say he wouldn't lose his temper and hurt her again?

1: i agree about harry and ginny, i didnt really like them as a couple, i thought it was kinda weird that they got together, its like he got with her just so he could marry into his best Friends family.

3: i agree with you, at first i didnt like tonks/lupin as a couple because it seemed she adored him whereas he seemed to just think of her as a friend, but i grew to Cinta them as a couple.

Claire and Quil - Claire's age makes this couple ridiculous and I now don't like the idea of imprinting, (I used to think it was Cinta at first sight) so that couple bugs me too.

And we haven't seen enough of the romance aspect between the other Cullen couples to say whether atau not they're right for each other as a couple. Because the whole was Bella/Edward and eventually Jacob/Renesemee (did I spell that right?)

Then, out of nowhere, they fall for each other (the movie was even lebih random). The same goes for Harry and Ginny. For five years Harry was practically oblivious to Ginny. Then, he hits the age of sixteen and he's like "Ginny is my soulmate!"

Neville/Hannah: All the major characters ended up with characters who had a part. Neville became a pretty important character, but ended up with someone who was mentioned maybe three times throughout the entire seven books. It just seemed like JK went. "Oops, I forgot to pair Neville up. Here's a name people would recognize! Let's put him with her!"

Twilight:
Edward/Bella: Completely unbelievable, Imo.
Jacob/Nessie and Quill/Claire: Imprinting is my biggest problem with these two. Not that they imprinted, per say (although imprinting in general is creepy) but that they imprinted on children. Babies.

I think I would have been lebih happy if some of the major characters had ended up with Rawak characters. But they didn't - they all ended up with major characters. I think, for me, JK either needed to put Neville with a character we knew extremely well, atau someone we didn't know at all (I like the fact that Luna married someone we didn't know. We could interpret our own characteristics for him. We can't really do that with Hannah because we kind of already know what she's like, but she's vague enough for us to soalan 'Why her?')

Yes, I consider that as canon too. It seems so weird and even though it seemed extremely /humorous/ while I read the series, I felt sorry for Bellatrix. Her Cinta seems so meaningless , it bothers me. :(

Tonks/Lupin:
It's just too random. For me it seems like they pulled names out of a hat.

Bill/Fleure:
Even though I like them very much personally, they seem so random. (see Tonks/Lupin)

Harry/Cho:
Stupid much? I never got the feeling Cho even cared about Harry, her Cinta for Cedric was never gone.

Ron/Lavander:
It just seemed so disturbing. Well, if Lav-Lav wasn't so obsessive, I would actually like this.

Draco/Astoria:
Extremely Rawak and a bit meaningless. I didn't like the idea of him marrying a character which was never introduced before, J.K. never gave us any information about the relationship atau how it has evolved, nothing. I would prefer him marrying Pansy...or Luna. xD

Twilight:

Jacob/Renesmee:
Big NO-NO.
It's major pedophillia. She's an infant, for pete sake!

Emily/Sam:
Although he loved Leah, he just left her (randomly AKA 'imprinting') for Emily. They were cousins but Emily didn't care. She didn't care for Leah being happy at all. But I'd mostly blame Sam for that.
Not to mention he's an abusive boyfriend.

Bella/Edward:
He's an abusive stalker, and she's a dependent Mary-Sue. Awful combination, if anda ask me.
The relationship is creepy and completely un-romantic.

Quil/Claire:
(see Jacob/Renesmee)

I think the whole point with the Harry/Cho and Ron/Lavander pairings were to tunjuk that not all school romances are what it seems, and that people RARELY ever marry the first person they went out with. I honestly thought they weren't supposed to be that compatible. The same goes with Draco/Astoria. We also didn't need to see Draco and Astoria's relationship evolve because he wasn't a main character. My guess was he met her after school - a time period in which the buku don't cover. (The Harry Potter buku are about Harry coming of age. The epilogue was just a glimpse into their new life, but the series pretty much stopped after Harry grew up.) And we KIND of know Astoria because her sister was vaguely mentioned in the series. We didn’t have to know everything that occurred in every single characters' lives. If that were the case, there would be a whole extra book just to explain the backstory of every pairing ever mentioned. And I'm not just saying this as a Draco/Astoria shipper; I was so excited that Draco was with ANYONE but Pansy at that point. I mean c'mon - do anda honestly think he would settle for worse than Pansy? Ugh. >.< Whoever actually liked Pansy, anyway?

I agree with you, it would be so unrealistic if es. Ron and Hermione got together in ex. book 5 and live happily ever after and tru wuw. Blech. But I'm really glad those romances didn't last long.

Renee and Phil: Again, I couldn't understand what about Phil attracted Renee. Maybe it's because SM didn't give anymore than 3 lines to Phil in the entire series. What is it about Phil that made Renee feel young?

Tonks and Lupin: I think Tonks and Sirius would have made a better couple, but anyways...

I'm pretty sure they are, in a way. He is 'destined' to be with her (aka imprinting). We don't know what happens after Nessie grows up, but I'm sure in SMeyer's world, everything will turn out happily ever after.

They are a couple. In Breaking Dawn, Jacob was described to fall in Cinta with Renesmee.

Imprinting was explained in Failclipse. It starts as friendship (if the girl is too young) and when she's of age they turn into a couple. But that means they are a couple, something like....couple-to-be?
