Edward can't just take someone off the street, drag them to a police station and say
"This man murdered someone."
They'll ask him how he knows them and Edward would reply with "Because... I just know" atau "becuase I'm a vampire and I can read minds" which would get the Volturi on him.

The same with Rosalie.
She can't wrangle up her fiance adn Friends and take them to the police station and say "These guys murdered me a while ago."

There needs to be reasonable means to detain someone. anda can't arrest someone just because someone tells anda to. Not always, at least.

The police are good law enforcement, but frankly in Supernatural cases, they're totally useless.

Because taking them to the police station wouldn't do anything. The police can only make an arrest when they have a warrant, when they catch the criminal in the act, atau when they have "reasonable grounds" for suspecting is person is atau has committed a crime. A Rawak person dragging another person in and going "He killed someone" isn't reasonable grounds.

Rape is hard to prove even on the best of days and, since Rosalie was perfectly fine (or she would have been when she dragged the men into the station) the police would have had no reason to make an arrest. No proof other than some Rawak chick claiming rape. Even back then, I don't think anything would have come of it.

Killing the wicked isn't accepted as morally wrong sejak everyone - hence why almost half the world still has/uses the death penalty.

Okay, imagine this:

You're Edward Cullen, watching the night, listening to people's thoughts to find a murderer. anda find some, grap him and take him to the police.
'I heard this man killing a girl.' You'd say. Then the policeman would ask how, and anda have two options.
1) 'I'm a vampire, and my special gift is Membaca thoughts.
2) I was standing in a alley to find a murderer to kill.
Both will get you: First, in jail. Second, killed sejak the volturi.

Next:

You're Rosalie Hale, just changed. Your almost-husband left anda bleeding. anda would've died without Carlisle. So what do anda do? anda go to him and his Friends and get them to the police. They ask anda what they did. anda have only one option:
1) They left me bleeding in the jalan and I would've died if dr. Cullen didn't turn me into a vampire.
They would doubt your mental skills and get anda in a hopital. Also, anda would get killed bye the volturi.

So anda have actually no options. Yeah, true, anda could not kill at all, but anda can't ask em about that, ask stephenie.

No offense, but Twilight peminat-peminat don't really talk like that anymore (at least not on this spot) so the examples were unnecessary. As other people have said, in any Supernatural T.V. show, book, atau movie, the police are almost always useless, unless they are in on the secret. There'd be too many soalan of "how" "when" and "where" that they wouldn't be able to answer, so basically even considering that option would be almost illogical. It would make lebih sense just to kill the guy. And anda also have to remember - these are Vampires we're talking about. Do anda think they give a crap about the law? They're immensely lebih powerful than humans, so wouldn't it make sense that they'd set themselves a bit higher than the human law?

I agree with everyone else.

They're not going to be able to prove it to the police. And I think the law enforcement might be a skeptical bunch if the Vampires were to tell them the truth.

Also: He is trying to kill them for a reason. Do anda think those nasty, evil Vampires are just going to sit quietly in the backseat while Edward drives them to the police station? Yeah, I didn't think so. And if they somehow manage to get to the station, what about those police men? They could get hurt atau killed once the evil, non-vegetarian, hungry, brutal, dangerous vampire arrives.

Edward does not kill people. None of the Cullens do? Sure Jasper wanted to take a chunk out of Bella in New moon but did he? No he did not. And to turn himself into the police would be retarded. I can see it now

If anda were any smart...you would realize this, and anda would also have known that Edward and his family are animal drinkers...and Haiwan are NOT humans! I do not care at all for Edward atau Bella but I like Twilight because of Carlisle. So there...I told anda this. (sorry if I am being rude it is just that I have seen this come up once atau twice about the Cullens killing people)
