He's such a tragic character, his lifestory is so sad. I totally agree with haropuff, potecting harry all this time just becuase he loved lily so much. All he asked of harry was to look at him one last time so he could see the eyes of his love before he died :(

before you all start htting me, i think edward acts more romantic, but severus is way more dedicated, when edawrd thought bella was dead, he tried to take the easy way out *cough* coward, while when severus found lilly had been killed, he made sure to spend every last waking minute of his life making sure that she got justice, even thought he ws basically broken inside, and he had to make voledemort (mind reader) believe he was on the dark side, all this, when lilly never was attracted romantically to him and married snape's like arch enemy. His patronus is a doe because of her! But edward acts more romantic...

when twilighters say that hp series dont have love, i always think of this : "dont you fucking know severus snape?! or you're simply missing a half of your life?!"

It depends on what definition you give to the word romantic. In the dictionnary (yes, I went and looked in the dictionnary), there are many definitions for this adjective. Two of which are:

1. Displaying or expressing love or strong affection

2. Characterized by a preoccupation with love or by the idealizing of love or one's beloved.

Edward displays his love for Bella a lot with romantic words like: "You are my life now". *gag*
Whereas Severus suits the 2nd definition a bit more. He never told anyone that he loved Lily, except for Dumbledore. He doesn't verbally or physically express his love. But he loves Lily even if she's a Gryffindor, and his whole adult life practically revolves around his beloved.

So, it really does depend on what you think romantic means.

I tend to go more for the first definition, so I would say that Edward's more romantic. Like you said, nati30.

Honestly there is nothing really romantic about Edward and Bella..its all lust and its possessive too...Severus's relationship with Lilly was tragic but filled with love. He loved her enough to let her go and be with someone she REALLY did care about

Is this a Sirius question? Edward isn't romantic. He isn't even in love; just overpowered lust. He stalks her, and I'm sorry to have to break the news to you Twihards, but being hot doesn't change that. Severus's death scene was one of the most heart-touching moments in the entire Harry Potter series, and the last thing he saw were the eyes of the girl he loved. He protected her son and continued to live on and fight even after his horrible life, and he would have done ANYTHING for Lily. THAT is love. Severus loved Lily with one of the strongest passions of all love.

MY GOD! Siriusly, is this a question?! Severus of course! When you look up 'romantic' in the dictionary, there's a picture of Severus Snape. Severus is the definition of love! I agree with nati30. So much it irritates me (I hate it when people are really romantic, I can't help it).

Siriusly??? Severus snape, of course. It must have been torture to look at James's face just to see Lily's eyes, but he did. It must have broken him knowing it was his fault lily died, but he lived on to protect her son. It must have hurt him almost physically to find out that lily and James were dating, yet he let go so that she could be happy. Eddikins only rambles. Wow.

His chapter in Deathly Hallows made him not only make the book my favorite, but also made him one of my favorite characters. I hate to use recycled comments but JK Rowling wrote a better love story in one chapter than Stephenie Meyer did in 4 books (yes, and this is coming from a Twilight fan).

^this is what I mean. Snape managed to singlehandedy make an entire book a favourite. ^^
