Why don't anda like James Potter?Give the reason plz.

There are few reasons why I don't like him. He's a bully for starters. Yes, I know that Snape gave as good as he got, but as it was pointed out in the books, it was four against one and it was James who started the whole thing, during the first ride in Hogwarts Express (Deathly Hallows, Prince's Tale). He's also a manipulator and a liar. He got Lily to tarikh him sejak pretending he changed, but behind her back he was still bullying Snape (Order Of The Phoenix, Sirius admits it to Harry himself), he is also a bit of a narcissistic moron and a tunjuk off (also Order of the Phoenix). Plus as a Snape peminat I have to dislike him on principal :D

I don't hate James :) I like him even though he lied and bullied Snape, because I believe in the priciple of forgiveness and the fact that he changed. People have changed before, and I think we should give them a chance. James obviously got better when he married Lily, because we were not told that he was arrogant after that. Knowing Lily, he probably became somewhat lebih humble and she probably altered his personality. Being with someone can change anda sometimes. Plus, the fact that James (BESIDES Peter) had very loyal Friends that would stick sejak him berkata something, too. He was a leader, whether he mistreated Snape atau not. But lets not forget that Snape had done things to James, too. We may have mostly seen Snape's point of view in "The Prince's Tale", but they both bullied each other, even if it may have usually been James.

All in all, I think James is a great character, and I like him :)

GASP! How can anda h8 James Potter? He such a brilliant character. I know he bullied Snape - and, in the end, I liked Snape - but he was a great person after that :D

All-in-all, i like James Potter. I know he bullied Snape and stuff, but thats what happens when people don't like eachother, right? I am a Snape peminat and a James Potter fan, it was still wrong the way he treated Snape, and it is bad he made Lily go out with him sejak lying, but it's all good for the story-lines :).

I Cinta HIM, ok he WAS a bully, but arnt alot of boys (esp spoilt ones like him) like that in there teens?! (i Cinta severous snape 2 (as a kid))

I don't hate James.he's harry potter's father!! He gave up his life to save Harry.

I didn't like how he treated other people. Especially Snape. He was really arrogant and a bit pf an ass.

I do like him lebih when he matures.

He's ok. :) But I like Sirius so I have to like him anyway :D!
But, siriously, James is a good character. When people say he bullied Snape behind Lily's back, Lily didn't even like Snape anymore. He called her a mudblood, didn't he? Also, Sirius berkata that Snape hex, jinxed, and/or cursed James, and he wasn't going to take that lying down, was he? But even if it wasn't mentioned, Snape loved Lily and hated James, so if he (James) was going out with his (Snape's) crush, he would most likely try to kill him.
James isn't a manipulator either. He actually did change and deflated his head. He stopped hexing people and stealing the snitch. Plus, James mostly hexed Snape, but the others didn't. They just egged him on. Snape was just as bad. Lily said, on the night Snape tried to apologize to her for calling her a mudblood, that Snape and a group of Slytherins did something bad to someone else.
So, yea, I do like James and Snape, but James isn't a bad person, nor Severus. They were just teenagers and liked the same girl.

i don't HATE him but he was a total bully to snape when they went to school together.
