I'd say Narcissa or Tonks. Tonks was fun, kind, brave and accepting of Lupin. Narcissa was supportive, strong, dignified and just generally awesome. Plus I personally consider the Malfoys one of the more compatible couples, so I think she was the perfect wife for Lucius. Molly is a bit naggy, and I don't really think skill at chores is relevant to being a good partner. I believe she loved Arthur a lot though. Petunia is...well, Petunia, lol. Annoying and high strung but in their own way a good wife for what Vernon wanted.

Because really, whether or not someone is a good wife depends in part on who they are with. Like even though in general I consider Narcissa best, she'd be a worse wife for Arthur than Molly is for example, you know?

And Narcissa.

I hate the description for Molly, to be a good wife, you no longer have to be the stay-at-home mom whom takes care of everything at the house. Yes, it's true, that's what she does, but it rubbed me thee wrong way :|

Anyway, it really depends on the husband, and what kind of wife they want. They're all the best wives for their husband.

LifesGoodx3 I understand what you mean but how would you describe Molly in a way that separates her from the other three women if not by mentioning that she's a typical housewife? She's loving, faithful, emotional, supportive etc. but that goes for the other three as well. Would all three women die to save the people they care about? I suppose so. Narcissa would lie to Voldemort's face about his greatest enemy. I must say when I was thinking about Molly, I felt odd when I realised that she's on many points the exact opposite of the femminist's ideal woman.

I tried to point out the things that separates them from one another Harry noticed. Harry noticed Tonks was young and funny. Tonks she's an Auror so she must be a great witch (with great marks at Hogwarts accoring to McGonagall). The first thing Harry noticed about Narcissa was that she was attractive. In HBP & DH she was doing whatever it took to keep her family safe. Unlike the other three women she was on the wrong side and she couldn't turn to many people for help. Petunia is very neat. Vernon is a businessman who brings his partners home. Petunia always does her best to present the house and the family in the best possible light. On the other hand, Molly is always cleaning, but the Burrow is always a mess. Narcissa has houseelves to do the cleaning.

Mermaid-Tail, that's an excellent post about Narcissa. I voted her as well. She's very feminine and graceful. Her actions in HBP and DH showed she was a determined woman, much like the Black women before her, a woman her family could relly on. She's far from a helpless damsel in distress I expected to see. Being attractive is a huge plus for her as it makes her a more desirable wife for most men.

And Molly

There's more to be a good wife than cooking and cleaning. Tonks is proof of that! :)
