looking for a fanfic

I one time read this really good fanfic about house treating a girl not sure if she is his daughter atau just like a daughter to him it was REALLY good and left kind of a cliff hanger and sadly it was not compete after waiting and even mailing the auther to update(though he/she berkata to mail here but I fingle out want he/she mat) sadly though the fanfic left my mind and only come back here today while searing for house adoting a girl but now I can't find it does anyone know the story?
