The National Assembly voted down a revision bill that would raise the age for selebriti featured in alcohol ads, which means K-pop singer IU can continue to honor her contract with alcoholic beverage maker, Hite bir & Jinro Soju.

In April, the Health and Welfare Committee floated a revision bill that would set the minimum age of actors and selebriti in ads for alcoholic beverage at 25.

But the bill failed to pass the Legislation and Judiciary Committee at the parliament.

IU, one of the most sought-after Model for commercials, is 23.
