Kill the Messenger, Jeremy Renner plays real-life journalist \'Gary Webb\' who exposed the CIA\'s role in arming Nicaraguan Contra rebels and smuggling cocaine into the U.S. during the 1980\'s, resulting in a vicious smear campaign that brought the reporter to the brink of suicide.
