I thought for sure I was dead.
But I heard myself breathing. I heard the voices of people around me. I heard the word “coma” repeatedly sejak the doctors and nurses. I heard Ponyboy and Two-Bit’s voice.
And then I heard her voice. (Y/N)’s voice. I heard her crying, talking to me. About the gang, her day, reading, whatever. Sometimes softly Singing to herself.
One hari I squeezed her hand, and she was laughing and crying all at the same time.
“I Cinta anda Johnny.” She whispered. “Just wake up.”
I tried so hard to answer her, but no words came out. I wanted to tell her I was ok, I would make it out of this, even though I would be paralyzed, I’d be fine. We’d be fine.
But all I can do now is squeeze her hand.
The Outsiders has some great life lessons in it and I take them to hati, tengah-tengah so here they are...
Darry: He has taught me that even though sometimes someone can seem mean doesn't mean they don't Cinta you.
Two-Bit: Has taught me to take and make a joke.
Sodapop: Has taught me that anda can be drunk on just plain living.
Dally: Has taught me to be tough and anda won't get hurt.
Steve: Has taught me that anda should always stick sejak your buddies.
Ponyboy: Has taught me that things are rough all over and to notice the beauty around me.
Last but not least Johnny. Johnny? Well he told me to Stay Gold:)
