Selena Gomez may have temporarily Lost her voice, but that didn't stop her from making an appearance on "Lopez Tonight" Monday. With the help of a Dynavox voice-enhancing machine, Gomez sat down with host George Lopez to talk about her good pal Justin Bieber.
"I Cinta him. He's like my little brother. I like to say his name on stage because if I'm performing badly, I say his name and the audience will cheer," she joked, adding that at one tunjuk he asked her to take off her heels to make up for the height difference, but she wouldn't comply. "[I told him] 'No, I'm not going to take off my heels. You're short, embrace it.' He's getting taller, though." Gomez also wanted the audience to know how badly she felt for not being able to answer the soalan for herself. She said, "I'm sorry. I'm so upset, but at least it's funny, right?"
Gomez, luckily, was feeling just fine when she turned 18 last week. "My band sang Backstreet Boys to me. It was so funny," she said, adding that she's already noticed one sign of aging: a few gray hairs. "Yes! Can anda believe I have three?" she said. "I freaked out. I ran to my mom and asked her what I should do. I asked if I should pluck them and she berkata I shouldn't. It's bad luck."
The week she turned 18, her flick "Ramona and Beezus" opened and she even made some time to hit the theater and catch a viewing. "I snuck in wearing a baseball cap," she said. "It was amazing to hear everyone laugh and cry." The Dynavox machine Gomez used during the interview was donated in the actress' name to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
