Lady GaGa is among the nominees for The 21st Annual Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation’s annual media awards according to Reuters UK.

The organization named 116 nominees for outstanding coverage of gay issues in categories in film, television, documentary, music, theater, comic buku and journalism. The awards will be held in three different dates beggining March 13 in New York City.

Lady GaGa was nominated in the Muzik artist category and is up against Adam Lambert, indie band Gossip and singer Brandi Carlie.

The organization’s President Jarrett Barrios berkata the awards were designed to reward news coverage and entertainment programing that go beyond gay stereotypes.
