LadyNottingham Nice thing, as I'm a HP fan too ! But I don't think he's the voice of reason. Spock is. Bones is rather the voice of emotion, the conscience that whispers into one's ears, saying "eh, you can't do that or you should do this", among other things. Strangely enough, I'd rather picture him as a Ravenclaw with a strong Gryffindor streak. But for sure he has Hufflepuff qualities : hardworking, loyal to the bone, a fierce friend.
