WHY STELLA?! Why the hell Stella?! She's the best female character! I saw the link at the CSI: NY - spot and I thought I translated it wrong first! I couldn't believe "takes place" means what it means!
As long as I watch CSI: NY I'm a huge SMacked-fan and I always craved for new SMacked-scenes. The only reason why I should watch the show anymore is Gary...
I think I have to look for a new hobby now... Writing SMacked-fanfictions is senseless now.

My first ship from Criminal Minds, will be the last Season, and we don't know if they end up together. And now Smacked, I can't believe this, they totally ruin my summer!!!!:(((((
And we won't even see her for one or two episodes in S7, its so sad and wrong and unbelievable.

I like to see how the writers dig themselves out of this, I mean, the framework fro S3, S4, S5, was great but then they messed it up for S6, these writers are not writing the show for the people but for themselves, they have to give what the audience wants otherwise the audience will switch off and for them 80% of the viewers want stella AND Mac on their T.V screens,
so it's deplorable really!

...and now that Ausiello told us that Melina won't even come back for a proper send-off, all my hope for SMACked has died... :'(

As completely and supremely pissed off as I am because Melina is leaving (and you better believe I freaked / shrieked / sobbed violently when I learned that she was leaving) I still believe that SMacked can happen! After all, now that she won't be in the lab or whatever, she and Mac can be together romantically without the stupid work policy ;D.

i hope that stella will return in one point of the show... miss her sooooooooo much...

HEY EVERYONE LISTEN TO THIS!!! Ok ok, so now that i got your attention, what if Stella comes back and hooks up with Mac?

Hell yeah, I'd immediately go back to watching it - although I think the quality was suffering even while Melina was there. Didn't like the 6th season much.

I went into a catastrophic meltdown when I learned Melina left CSI:NY. Even from a non-shippers POV, I really loved the chemistry she and Gary showed on-screen and it was why I continued to watch the show even with the mostly forgettable season 6. When I saw the news of MK leaving, just completely vanishing from the show, it was like I had a mental Chernobyl or Fukushima-scale meltdown and the fallout was like my chest hurting at the though that Stella would be dead.

Thankfully, for once, the writers had the character to NOT kill Stella off and instead sent her to a differnt city though I wish it wasn't so far away.

Although I sure as hell don't know exactly why but if it truly was MK's choice only, I literally watched my respect for her literally collapse in a massive cloud of dust and all that was left was the flaming debris pile of grief.

I still hold out hope that she'll see the error of her way and at least reappear on CSI:NY once in a while, or even return full-time or Mac goes to New Orleans to at least see her, even if for just a visit.

It's not the first time I've lost respect for those I was a fan of but in previous cases, it took me years to regain respect for them again and to cease having negative attitudes about them.

I had to go to therapy to comprehend the psychological meltdown I had when my respect for MK imploded and as of this writing, I still am distraught over it. I still feel sadness over her absence and even whatever I like about Sela/Jo cannot heal the terrible wound that MK inflicted on my TV/Shipper-heart. Previous experiences like this about celebrities or actresses that I previously was a giant fan of took at least two years to recover from.

With the troubling climate, both social and economic, in this country, I turned to CSI:NY to enjoy Mac/Stella scenes and hoped for something greater but now with that gone (hopefully temporarily), I felt that shield was taken away and now I feel vulnerable.

If MK were to return, my respect for her as an actress would be instantly restored very quickly.

I still hold out hope as of this writing even if it's likely season 8 will be the show's last.
