I found it hard to sympathize with why their mom was akumatized, but i liked the ending compromise more than some of the other episodes. i think that Luka is nice and Lukanette has cute chemistry but it was underwhelming how his role was mostly only to compliment marinette so he felt less like a character and more of a cute compliment vending machine. but i hope he gets more development later (but as much as i love ML, characters tend to disappear for episodes at a time) and hey i love marinette too. sabrina's cop dad who i sometimes find irritating i found hilarious in his determination to take on hardrock in any vessel available. a lot of people already mentioned that some of the animation was not up to snuff.
OVERALL the episode was ok but kinda underwhelming in almost every aspect which is frustrating since they did their utmost to make Kagami an extremely interesting and driven character/foil to Adrien. I'm a little irked by how little they did for the Lukanette episode when they took every opportunity with the Adrigami episode.it only avoids being bad for me because i liked some details and some moments. optimistic for future luka episodes (or other characters just coming back pleeeeeease)
