"Hey, Renesmee, wait up!"
I didn't have to turn to know the voice who called after me. It was Mrs. Malagwa, my art teacher, the only person at Brenton who insisted on calling me 'Renesmee.'
I turned and smiled at her as friendly as I could, though I was a little irritated. I wanted to go utama and relax. "Is there a problem, Mrs. Malagwa?"
"No, no problem." she panted, out of breath, though she'd only jogged a few steps. I waited for her to continue. "The Valentine's hari Dance is coming up," she prompted. "And anda have such artistic ability. We need lebih members on the Decorating Comittee." she held up a sheet that was only half filled with signatures.
Ah, the dance. I was trying to surpress all thoughts of Valentine's Day, but the thoughts were inevitably creeping in now.
Mrs. Malagwa was still speaking. "...artistic ability," she was saying. "And anda could do a really good job as a decorator. anda know most of the kids, I think..." she looked at me hopefully. "Sure, I'll do it," I told her, being the pushover I am. I took the pen and made a big production of signing it 'Nessie.' "Thank-you, Renesmee!" she gushed immediately. Well, so much for that show. "It's no problem, Mrs. Malagwa. See anda tomorrow." I waved and started back towards my dorm.
I had almost forgotten about Valentine's Day, but now that I had been reminded, what I really wanted to do was avoid all civilization on Saturday. It was almost too much to see other Brenton students go walking around hand-in-hand, Ciuman each other.
I hadn't had much time to think about Jacob recently. Homework, teachers, and now the dance were making it impossible. I still loved the learning experiance, though. I could speak almost fluently in French and Latin and was getting straight A's in History. I was doing good in all other classes as well, but I didn't feel so strongly about them.
Ashlie and Libby both had activities after school for a few hours, so this left time for me to think alone without interruption.
I still wasn't sure how I felt. I didn't want to call, afraid that he'd misinterpret my reason for calling, only to be disappointed when I didn't tell him how I felt. But it was a very strange feeling, being away from him for so long. I could almost feel a magnetic pull between here and Washington; feel it pulling me towards him, begging me to go back, so much easier than resisting. But my first semester wasn't even done. I wondered if he felt the same pull atau if I was paranoid. Did he miss me, too? Probably not; he was much better than I was. I had been so horrible to him.
And then the dreaded dance was tomorrow. I obviously didn't have a date, and wasn't planning on it either. I had been asked, sure, but no one I especially desired was here.
I pulled out a small scrapbook of foto-foto I had brought along and looked at them, as I usually did when I was confused atau homesick. The familiar faces of my family helped to calm me and sort things out. There was my mom and dad, Aunt Alice, Aunt Rosalie, Grandma, and Grandpa, and the others. Jacob's eyes stared warmly at me from the photo, his face bright and happy, the opposite of that hari at the airport.
And suddenly....everything fell into place. I knew those eyes. Those eyes full of easy-to-read secrets. Dark and shady, but still crystal clear. Right now, smiling at me from the picture, Jacob's eyes said, I Cinta you, Renesmee! Don't anda see that? I've loved anda for a long time. Don't anda Cinta me? Tell me anda do!
How could I have been so blind? How had I not realized? I wondered how stupid I really was. Despire my straight A's, I couldn't even figure out I was in love???
I could barely think the words, let alone say them. I Cinta you, too, I thought a few minit later. It felt so strange to think, though I knew it was true. I was getting a warm, tingly feeling all over as if Jacob was standing right there. This was much different then saying I loved mom atau dad atau Grandma. I loved Jacob, a boy I had known my whole life, though I had never known him until this minute. His eyes, clear deep, were somehow unsatisfied before, but now were as happy as the smile on his face. He was not just 'Jacob.'
He was my Jacob.

The week passed in a blur. Alice was able to successfully invite all of the guests. Rachel, Paul and Rebecca stopped sejak on Monday, taking the quickest flight to Washington they could manage. Jacob had been overjoyed to see Paul (who had married Rachel last year) and they had a boys-night-out, I guess you'd say. I talked endlessly to Rachel and Rebecca, my new sisters-in-law. I loved them immediately.
Leah and Emily came sejak lebih often as well, first to try on their dresses, then to simply visit me. Emily was a sweetheart, while Leah took some lebih getting used to, but we became Friends soon...

Light streamed in through the window of my room the seterusnya morning, making everything buttery golden with sunshine. Jacob was still holding me in his sleep. His mouth was slightly opened as he slept, his black hair tousled on the pillow. It was a peaceful, childlike expression.
This was the face of my fiancee.
I loved the sound of that. Fiancee. I had a fiancee. I was getting married. Jacob was mine.
I heard no movement in my parent's room. This either meant that they hadn't come into the cottage at all last night...or they had watched Jacob and I sleep, our arms around each other the whole...

I stayed up most of the night, brainstorming ideas for the wedding, while Jacob slept soundly beside me, snoring softly. I noticed that Jacob slept easier now adays since I agreed to marry him. The ever-present dark circles under his eyes were fading and I was happy about this. Aunt Alice came in the cottage when the sky was a light pink. I gasped, seeing her frame in the doorway, though there was nothing scary about a four foot eleven height. "Aunt Alice!" I said, one hand over my heart. I got off the bed, careful not to wake Jacob. "You nearly scared me to death! What do anda need?" "I need...

When I woke up, Jacob was seterusnya to me. I guessed that my parents had left already.
He kissed me good morning. "How was your night?"
I frowned at him. "Cold."
He laughed, taking my hands to pull me up and off the bed. "Should we check on Alice? Make sure she didn't book us for a church in Barcelona?" I laughed. We had agreed to get married in the Cullens' house--it was definetly big enough--and the reception would be in the yard. "Let's go," I said.
Aunt Alice's room was in even worse shape than we had left it last night. The other unused sketches were crumpled up into paper balls, about two...

Jacob and I kept planning for hours in the cottage, never taking a break. We just wanted to be done planning so that we could marry each other and live our happily-ever-afters.
I decided that Mom, Aunt Rosalie, Aunt Alice, Grandma, Leah, and Emily would be my bridesmaids, and Jacob wanted Billy as a best man, and Dad, Uncle Emmett, Sam, Quil, Embry, and Seth as groomsmen. Uncle Jasper would read the vows. We wanted a house in Forks, in the woods, like Mom's and Dad's, but with a different design, of course. Our interrests differed from theirs. We went to go see Grandma to tell her our plans...

"You know, I am going to miss this place," I noted as Jacob took my packed suitcase.
"You'd rather stay here than be with me?" he pouted.
"Of course not! I'm just saying..." Oh. He was teasing. He grinned at me and I laced my fingers through his.
I was leaving Brenton. Today was the last hari of my first semester. It had been a great experiance, but Jacob was lebih important than anything in my life right now. On the night of the dance, we had fallen asleep in the silvery moonlight, curled up sejak each other, under the tree. The seterusnya morning he was going to catch a flight back to Washington; he...

Aunt Rosalie drove up a little later, avoiding all eye contact. Dad kept a smug smile on his face as he read her embarrassed thoughts. She held her head up high as she tossed Jacob's keys to him. "Your engine is terrible, sejak the way," she said. She walked in the house, her nose still in the air, trying to hold on to what dignity she had left. I would have laughed, except I liked my head on my body. "I like it that way!" Jacob yelled after her. As soon as she was out of earshot, Jacob turned to Dad, his face falling a little. "Does it run badly?" he asked. Dad shook his head. "No," he grinned....

"She should be here in about ten lebih seconds," I told my brother, focusing my eyes on the entrance to the parking lot.
Edward rolled his eyes. "Take it easy on her," he warned me. "You know Bella. This hari will be really hard for her. anda know what she wants lebih than anything--" He broke off and clenched his teeth. "She won't make it too difficult for anda tonight, Edward," I tried to comfort him. "She'll only ask a few times." He grimaced down at me. "Anyway," he continued. "I agreed to let anda throw this party, something I'm sure I'll pay for later." he chuckled. "Just don't overwhelm her,...

Jacob and I made our rounds among the guests while we waited for the brilliant sunlight to fade. No use in starting the reception in the yard if lebih than half of the guests couldn't even come with us.
"Congratulations, Nessie!" Grandpa Charlie said. He gave me a strong hug. "You look beautiful. As beautiful as your mom at her wedding. Congratulations, Jacob." They shook hands. "You guys are going to have a wonderful life together..." His eyes misted over and Grandma Sue gave me hug as well before leading him away.
"Nessie!" a strong voice, wild as a jungle cat, boomed. Though I'd only heard...

My night was almost sleepless. Ever since I found out that I loved Jacob, all I could do was think about him, preventing me from sleeping. Once atau twice I swear I saw him looking through my window, but that was probably just my imagination running wild.
After giving up on sleep, I got up early, dressing in faded blue jeans and an old top. It would kill Aunt Alice, but I was going to be covered in paint soon anyways. I didn't have to be at the meeting room until four, so I was free to enjoy my Saturday. atau try to, at least.
Aunt Alice had called last night to check up on me. I spilled everything...

Five days later I finally got the news I had been waiting for.
Ever since Alice's promise to give me up-to-the-second kemaskini on Renesmee, I hadn't even gone home. I followed on Alice's heels; I even went hunting with her. I ignored the nasty looks Rosalie gave me and the incredulous headshakes Emmett gave me. "You're Cinta sick, bro," he would tell me. I shrugged. What could I say? He was right.
Alice and I were cutting Bunga to put in vases around the house in honor of Valentine's Day. She had really gone overboard, in my opinion. Red, white, and merah jambu Ros overflowed the crystal vases....
