You cannot breed Nintendogs. The dogs can, in fact, have relationships with other dogs, yes, but they cannot physically breed. Therefore, any sort of "breeding" by the trainer is impossible. The kennel is the only place that has any permission to breed the dogs, which may result in your usage of a cheat code or something along the lines of that.

There's a mod which allows you to make a one of your dogs really small, which many have then claimed is the offspring of two of their dogs, but it's all a rumor. The dogs on the game, as stated in the handbook, are puppies, and don't age.
