Drama, like s3&1 had
But not s2/5 angst, cause that's depressing to watch

I love it when my favourite couple's together, but that doesn't affect how much I like the season... Like I prefer s3 to s4&6 because of... the DRAMA.

Character awesomness helps... cause Peyton SUCKED in season2 which is part of the reason I didn't like it.

But yeah, 1's my fave, then three

actually i wanted to say friendship but that wasn't an option...so i chose character cuz lucas is the reason season one is my favorite...well lucas and laley :)

even though the couples aren't ENTIRELY what i base my favorite seasons on... they're the majority of it :)

Peyton is the main reason why I watch the show..so yes, of course.

I base my favorite seasons on mainly couples and drama.

The only reason why I can put up with season 3 was because of Peyton/Leyton friendship everything else was crap to me, so there you go.

I think is couples, because my favorite characters are Brooke and Nathan and i love them in all the seasons. But i don't love all the seasons. My favorite seasons are season 1 and 3, and Naley and Brucas were together then and had amazing moments. =)
The drama is also very important to me. Season 2 is my 3rd favorite, and that season was not very good for my couples, especially for Naley. But i liked the drama. ;)

Good friendship scenes and some comedy moments are always good.
And fluff too, of course. =P

I guess for me, angst is also the less important thing.

Well, for me it definitely depends on the friendships, then the characters & comedy and maybe even a little bit the couples. I agree that it's kinda stupid to base your favorite season on your favorite couple, but I can't help it ; ) I mean the characters AND the couples MAKE the drama, comedy etc. after all ( =
Nah, but the OTH friendships are decisive imo. I hate watching such amazing characters with such an amazing chemistry while everyone's just pushing his own plan through. I need road trips like in season 3 & 4, I need the feeling they're all like one big happy family and that they'd help each other through everything, no matter what. A show's kinda pointless if you can't see the characters interact, maybe even try something new like new friendships (like Braley or Brachel)...even if the characters are completely different. As long as their chemistry is great and they have the possibility to prove it, I'm happy ( =
And of course: there should be fun! ; D I really don't need to watch a depressing & whiny season! There should be drama, but also fun...and it should be perfectly balanced! Not like "Oh, you know what? We had a couple of sad episodes now, let's throw a funny episode in!" ; )

The couples and the storylines because Leyton weren't together in S3 but it's one of my favourite seasons but Peyton's storyline with Ellie was still amazing.
So for me it's a mixture of couple, friendship, character awesomness & storylines
