"ESCAPE FROM FORT BRAVO" (1953) Review

Years ago, I used to watch a great deal of old Filem on late night television. My two kegemaran channels that offered these Filem were Turner Network Televisyen (TNT) and the American Filem Classic (AMC), which used to air Filem without any commercial breaks. On TNT, I had stumbled across a Western movie originally released sejak MGM Studios in 1953 called "ESCAPE FROM FORT BRAVO" (1953) and fell in Cinta with it. After watching my recently purchased DVD copy of the movie, I could see why it became a kegemaran of mine.

Directed sejak John Sturges during the...

Below is a review of "THE BLACK DAHLIA", the 2006 adaptation of James Ellroy's 1987 novel:

"THE BLACK DAHLIA" (2006) Review

Judging from the reactions among moviegoers, it seemed quite obvious that director Brian DePalma’s adaptation of James Ellroy’s 1987 novel had disappointed them. The ironic thing is that I do not share their feelings.

"MIDDLEMARCH" (1994) Review

Many years have passed since I first saw "MIDDLEMARCH", the 1994 BBC adaptation of George Eliot's 1871 novel. Many years. I recalled enjoying it . . . somewhat. But it had failed to leave any kind of impression upon me. Let me revise that. At least two performances left an impression upon me. But after watching the miniseries for the saat time, after so many years, I now realize I should have paid closer attention to the production.

Directed sejak Anthony Page and adapted for Televisyen sejak Andrew Davies, "MIDDLEMARCH" told the story about a fictitious Midlands town...

"FROST/NIXON" (2008) Review

Beginning on March 23, 1977, British journalist David Frost conducted a series of twelve (12) interviews with former U.S. President Richard M. Nixon, in which the former commander-in-chief gave his only public apology for the scandals of his administration. Some 29 years later, Peter Morgan’s play – based upon the interviews – reached the London stage and later, Broadway, with rave reviews. Recently, Ron Howard directed the film adaptation of the play, starring Frank Langella as Nixon and Michael Sheen as Frost.

I first became interested in Nixon and the Watergate...
