Not Your Typical Country Girl Chapter Twenty Seven
Tucker's POV
I could not believe what I was seeing. Harmony was actually talking to people. Well they were all guys. She just sat there on a tailgate with three atau four guys around her. Oh well.
"Clay anda are doing a bad job of keeping guys off your sister," Isaiah said.
"She can have some fun," Clay said.
"Fun as in drinking beer," I asked.
"Crap, I thought that was a different can," Clay said, "I thought she wouldn't touch it."
"Why would anda think that," Isaiah asked.
"She has never been around this many guys and beer," I added.
Isaiah and I watched as he went over Harmony. He yanked the bir can out of her hand and grabbed her sejak the wrist.
"Harmony, anda are not allowed to be drinking," Clay berkata as he yelled over the music.
"Why," she asked, "it's really good!"
"We do not believe in drinking! And anda are underage," he said.
"So, everyone else is drinking," she berkata smiling.
"We do not copy after them," he yelled.
"I don't care," she said.
We all watched as Clay poured the bir out in front of Harmony.
"Mom and dad will kill me if they find out anda have had a sip of beer," he said.
"So what! They have not told what I can and cannot do," she smirked.
"No drinking," he berkata as Harmony walked off.
"You know she is going to go get another beer," I stated.
"Hopefully not," he said.
"I guess Harmony will is going to pick out the worst guy here," Isaiah stated.
Harmony was sitting on Blake's tailgate laughing. He had out a hand on her thigh.
"Just wait," Isaiah said, "maybe she won't do anything!"
"Umm, you're wrong," I stated as Harmony and Blake kissed.
I could not believe it. Why would she fall for him. Did that few sips impair her judgement already? atau had she had lebih than we knew about.
We continued to watched as they stopped making out and walked over the cooler. Blake cracked opened a bir for each of them.
"She doesn't know any better," Clay said, "she didn't even know what Josh meant when he said, 'I want a piece of that'."
"Whoa, dude anda have to stop her," Isaiah said.
"I really don't want to be the bad big brother," Clay groaned, "I don't want her to hate me!"
"Someone has to tell the poor girl," Isaiah said.
At the same time Clay and I both look over at Isaiah. We didn't want Harmony mad at either of us and she was rarely going to see Isaiah.
"Fine," he grumbled.
We watched as he went over there and pulled her away. Blake didn't like it to much but quickly went on to the seterusnya girl. Isaiah pulled Harmony over sejak the api, kebakaran and they sat down. Isaiah took the bir out of her hand; he started talking to her. We were not sure what they were saying but Harmony just sat there and listened. Harmony shook her head. Isaiah looked at the api, kebakaran then back her. She got up and left. Then, Isaiah came back to us.
"What did she say," Clay asked.
"She didn't know there was a law. I told her that we didn't believe in drinking," Isaiah said, "I explained to her why. But she replied she didn't care God. "
"Right, I forgot about that," Clay berkata as looked at the ground , "I don't know why she would think that."
"Clay, really," I asked, "it is no telling what she has gone through in life. She prolly blames God for everything! She just doesn't understand."
"Yeah, anda are probably right. I just wish she would see that God put here for a reason," Clay said.
"She will come around. Harmony just has a hard hati, tengah-tengah from what she has been through," Isaiah said.
Soon the party was over and it was time to go home. Harmony was stretched out in my backseat. She was complaining about her knee but I was not allowed to tell anyone. Clay and Isaiah were following us to Clay's house. We were going to stay up and goof off.
Thankfully we were utama and I was getting tired of hearing Harmony complaining.
As soon as we pulled into the drive way Harmony was out of my truck and heading for the barn. I was kind of jealous of Blake. He had gotten her to smile and laugh. Heck, he got her to Ciuman him. There is a part of me that likes Harmony but it is prolly because I don't know anything about her. I wonder what she was mad about. She did not say a word to anyone and just went to the barn. Oh well....
We had just sat down with our sweet teh on the back porch. Harmony came out with Midnight Moon following her.
"What are anda doing," Clay asked as he ran over to her.
"I have to go find something out. Why," she asked.
"You are not getting on this horse. It already hurt anda enough," he said.
"You cannot tell me what to do," she stated.
"I am right now because mom and dad are asleep," he said.
"Harmony, just wait a little longer till your knee heals," Isaiah said.
"No way! anda don't get to but in on my life when anda barley know me," she said.
"I'm not butting end but your knee needs to heal fully," Isaiah said.
"Yeah just listen to Isaiah and your brother," I added.
"He is not brother," she growled, "and anda have no right what to tell me to do!"
She walked over to the fence and hoped on Midnight Moon. She looked at us once lebih and the horse took off towards the woods. He easily cleared the fences. I don't know how that horse did it but it hopped right over it without hesitation.
"Why would she go off in the middle of the night," Clay asked confused.
"There's a umm, Indian tribe not far from here," I sated, "someone recognized her."
"Wait, what are anda talking about," Clay asked even lebih confused.
"A week atau two lalu when I bought her utama from the bonfire Midnight Moon was Berlakon up. She got him to calm down and she jumped up onto his back. He took off running towards the woods," I berkata as Clay glared at me, "I got on a horse and went after her. Midnight Moon went back to this Indian tribe and some boy named Wes recognized her. They called the horse Many Moon."
"Wes goes to our school," Clay asked, "isn't he our age?"
"I guess it was him. It was dark and I couldn't see that good," I shrugged.
"Why is she going back," Isaiah asked curiously.
"He berkata that Harmony's father was Indian and her mother took her away when she was young," I stated.
I heard Clay sigh loudly, "she went to see if her father is still alive!"
We ran to the bangsal and quickly saddled some horses. We hoped on and I showed them the way Midnight Moon took us that one time.
We got there and all we see is Harmony standing there without a horse.
"Harmony, we are going home," Clay demanded.
"No, I did not ask anda to follow me out here," she stated.
"I knew anda couldn't stay away. But I didn't think anda would bring so many boys with you," Wes said.
"I did not bring them," she grumbled.
"Wait, is that Clay, Isaiah, and Tucker," Wes asked.
"That's be us," Clay berkata as he hopped off his horse, "what have anda been telling Harmony?"
"Is he your boyfriend? I thought that was Tucker," Wes berkata as I rolled my eyes.
"No, I'm her brother," Clay said.
"Barley," Harmony muttered.
Clay was getting mad that she didn't like being his sister. He really wanted to be her big brother and best friend.
"Why are all of y'all out here," Wes asked, "did your dad remarry?"
"I don't know anda tell me," Harmony berkata as she stepped closer to him.
"Tucker and Isaiah are spending the night with me," Clay stated.
"With your knee I'm a brace and the way anda have been holding your side, anda are in no condition to fight," Wes stated.
"You better not hit her," Isaiah stated.
"Tell me about my father right now," Harmony demanded.
"What about him," Wes asked smiling.
Harmony grabbed a fist full of his shirt, "you tell me if he is here atau not!"
Wes started laughing, "Chill out Harm!"
"Do not called me that," she berkata she gritted her teeth and he laughed some more.
She quickly kneed him the groin and he grabbed her side. Causing them both to be in pain. Harmony quickly punched him in the stomach.
"Wes are anda okay," some man asked.
"I'm fine," he groaned.
"What is going on here," he asked.
"Nothing, just a misunderstanding," Isaiah said.
"A little lebih than a miss understanding," Harmony stated.
"Okay. How can I help you," the man berkata as he patted Wes on the back.
"Wes says my dad live here," Harmony said.
"Well, who is your father," he asked.
"I don't know! That's why I am here," she berkata kind of loud, "apparently Wes here knew me when I was baby! Never met the lowlife who did not come pick up!"
I looked at Isaiah and Clay with big eyes. I could not believe she had berkata that. It made me that much curious about her life before the adoption.
Wes who is her father," the man asked.
Wes looked at him and didn't say anything.
"Well, are anda going to tell us," Harmony asked eager.
Wes looked from Harmony to the man standing beside him.
"Mr. Chase, meet Harmony Barrow," Wes said, "your daughter..."
I heard Harmony click her tongue and Midnight Moon came out of nowhere. Harmony limped over to Midnight Moon and pulled herself up. She was wincing in pain from her ribs rubbing against Midnight Moon. I looked over at 'Chase' who was staring at Harmony with wide eyes.
"Why is she in pain," he asked as Midnight Moon took off.
I hoped on my horse and rode after he but Midnight Moon was fast. Too fast for the horse I was on. That was the last we had seen of her.
