They seem like "Oh shit we're running out of time to tell the story" while they only seem to have told/explained half of it, there is so much more I feel should happen with all these characters.

While I've very much enjoyed 5B, I think they put too much into it in general. Waaaaay too much. Too many villains, too much is going on, it's kind of a mess.

Really true! Everything happens slowly through the course of this season but then when we get to episode 9 (5x19). Everything basically goes down!
