I was ready to kill him when I got to the office. The nerve of him! Not only did he already buy my plane ticket, he even booked a hotel and RSVPed at the school! I was not getting out of this, Jane made sure of that.
" Where is he?!," I asked when I got into the CBI," I'm going to shoot him!!"
" If you're wondering where Jane is," Cho said," sertai the club."
" We haven't seen him all morning Boss." van Pelt replied. I groan in frustration.
" Ok. Fine. We don't have a new case do we?" I ask hopefully, but I know my hopefulness is just setting me up for diappointment. We haven't had a case in weeks.
" Actually, we do." Rigsby says, handing me a file. I grab it eagerly but, realizing the team is hiding smirks of amusement, quickly regain my composure. That is, until I saw where our victim was from.
" Aw crap." I say, looking at the file which says in bold Lisbon, Florida. The stupid little town I grew up in. Don't laugh that my name's Lisbon and I lived in Lisbon. My mom thought it was funny and decided to alih there. I had absolutely no say in the matter. I look at the victim's name.
" Double crap." I groan. I knew this guy. Daniel Rodger. He was the guy that had everything. Popularity, good looks. He was also the guy who bullied me for all of senior year.
" What's wrong boss?" van Pelt asks me.
" Everything. Call Jane, tell I really need him to come in. It's not a request, it's a favor."
van Pelt nods and I go into my office.

" hei Lisdork! Watch out!" I turn around and itik out of the way of a football Daniel had obviously throw at me on purpose.
" This your football Danielle?" I say, holding up the disgusting leather ball.
" It's Daniel and yeah, that is mine. Give it back before I make you!" He hollers at me. I pretend like I'm thinking it over.
" Nah, I'm fine. I think I'll just hold on to this until your aim improves." I say, turning back to my notebook. I've had a crush on the captain of the Bola sepak team for months and I've been Penulisan what I wish I could say to him in my little book. Just then, I realize Daniel is standing over me. He's grinning like the chesire cat. I used to Cinta when guys smiled like that, now it just makes me uncomfortable.
" That your little book of secrets Lisdork? Let me see!" He grabs the notebook from my hands.
" Give it back!" I yell at him.
" 'Patrick is ssoooo cute!'," he starts Membaca from my book," 'I wish I had the guts to tell him how perfect his hair is. And when he reads my mind he looks so funny. Like he actually believes I'm thinking about a bulatan inside a rectangle! It's adorable!" I cut him off sejak throwing the football I still have in my hands at his face. Direct hit to the nose! At first, I start to smirk. That is, until I feel to strong hands grab my shoulders.
" anda little bitc-" Daniel pulls back his arm to punch me.
" STOP!," another voice yells. It's then that I realize a crowd has formed. Then, I see him. Patrick Jane, Bola sepak star," What do anda think you're doing Danielle?" I smile a little when he calls him Danielle. I thought only I did that.
" Lisdork over here just threw a football at my nose!" Daniel complains. Patrick looks shocked.
" Really?," he turns to me," Good job Teresa. Now, Danielle, let her go. I'll make sure she never does again. Don't be stupid." Daniel lets me go. I start to run away, but Patrick stops me.
" Come on. We need to talk."
" Lisbon?" I wake up from my flashback and see Jane in the doorway to my office.
" how long have anda been standing there?" I ask, frustrated and embarassed.
" Long enough to know anda were remembering all the bad things about Danielle Rodger," He says," I don't think we should take this case."
" Really?" I'm on my guard. Jane was supposed to have been a friend of Daniel's. Shouldn't he want to catch his killer?
" Really. Daniel wasn't my friend," he looked at me blushing, smiled, and continued," if anything, he was my enemy. I could care less which phyco killed him. Besides, we have to go to the reunion. It won't be as much fun if people know that 1) Daniel's dead and 2) that we're investigating his murder. It'll just put everyone on edge." I think about that a moment and, as I'm about to reply, Wainwright ( new boss on Mentalist. Look it up ) walks in.
" Agent Lisbon? I hear anda have a case involving a former classmate of yours in highschool?"
" Yes sir but-"
" and that very same highschool is having a reunion this week, no?"
" Yes but as I was-"
" Good. anda and Mr. Jane will be going posing as a couple. anda will subtley soalan your classmates and lapor back to us. anda and Mr. Jane will be going alone, but feel free to ask the local PD for help. Any questions?"
" Actually-"
" None? Ok, anda and Jane are leaving for Florida in three days. Better get utama and pack!" and he left.
" I hate him." I say to no one in perticular.
" Everyone does. Now anda see why I wanted anda to back out of the case?" I look at him blankly until I realize what he's talking about.
" How did you-"
" Let's just say I'm good at hearing things I shouldn't." He winked and my hati, tengah-tengah almost melted.
" Wait! Jane, anda and I have to pretend to be in love!" I say.
" Who's pretending?" he berkata with a devilish smile as he walked out the door.
" See anda tomorrow!"
" See anda tomorrow?" I say with a sense of questioning in my voice as I sat back down behind my desk. This was going to be a long week.
