I can see more scope for this, since Neville would be in Hogwarts. Plus we haven't really seen much of him, in comparison to the trio.

^Yeah Neville as a main secondary character would be cool , and i really wish he became head of Gryffindor and always had quarrels or some rivalry with the new Slytherin head of house/ Potions professor (since Slughorn wasn't supposedly still around at that time) and they kinda kept up the Slytherin vs Gryffindor tension

I think Neville could become Head of Gryffindor. What other Gryffindors do we know of who'd be there at the time? Hagrid? I can't honestly see him as Head of House.

I can't see that rivalry ever disappearing fully.

Wow i never thought of Hagrid , that would be interesting......and yeah me neither >_< And i wonder who the new professors would be since Mcgonagal and Slughorn and Sprout were probably all too old to teach

Probably new characters, since no one except Neville was named. McGonagall is confirmed to have retired, and I'm certain Slughorn would have too.
