I bought the sims 2 seasons today and I tried to install it to my computer and it didnt work and it says I need to install another sims 2 game is that true?

Do anda have the original Sims 2 expansion pack? If not, then anda need to get that and install it first before anda can install Seasons.

It says at the back of the box it requires the sims 2, the sims 2 special dvd edition, the holiday edition atau the deluxe. anda can choose either one. The main idea is anda have to have the sims 2 base game to install any expansion pack. Like i said, anda can choose either the deluxe atau the holiday because each one includes the sims 2 base game. If anda already have the sims 2 installed, there's no need for the deluxe atau the holiday to install the seasons expansion pack. I'm really hoping anda can have the seasons installed because for me it is the best EP there is.
