I have berkata this for a very long time, but turning your humanity off in the TVD world is not changing into a a completely different person. It does not make anda the same as all other Vampires with their humanity off. Vampires who flipped the switch don’t all become some generic indivudal with the same wants, words, choices, ect. Through seasons 1-3, we have never heard any mentions of a cure to begin with. Why, suddenly, do we see an entire season focused on a cure and the repercussions of using it?

First I'm going to discuss the flaws in the theory of a cure actually existing. Just for fun.
