She shook in terror at the great surprise the empty hallway gave her.

"I could have sworn there was someone following me..." she mumbled to herself. "I guess it's just one of those things."

Not being able to sleep in her room, Alex just laid in her katil and stared at the ceiling. Her room was pitch black, but she could see the general shape of some things in black and white. The girl was a thinker, and she thought up a plan. A crazy plan in her head to find out how to alih back to Cleveland, Ohio. She would think up a senarai of why Cleveland was better than this rotten stinkhole and she would tunjuk it to her mom one day. She knew it would work. Her mom loved lists. In Susan's world, lists solved all the world's problems.

She gave up on trying to sleep and reached to turn on her light and read. At the very edge of Alex's consciousness, she heard a voice quietly say, "Don't be afraid of the dark, Alexandra."

Jumping out of her skin, Alex pulled the covers around her a little tighter and laid in the dark. Her book was not, she decided, so important she would get scared out of her mind again for it.

But what was it? It couldn't have been Max; he was the seterusnya room over. And, nobody called her 'Alexandra.' That is, with the exception of her doctor and schoolteacher. So it was very formal if someone called her 'Alexandra,' but who would?

'It was just me,' she thought.

Susan, walking into her room, reached to turn on the light so she could get ready for bed.

She heard as her hand went toward the light switch, "Don't be afraid of the dark, Susan."

"Who was that?" she called into the darkness.

No reply.

"You answer me right now. Who. Said. That. To. Me?" she berkata in a low, serious voice.

Yet again, no reply.

She decided that the first step would be to turn on the light. Maybe whoever was hiding would be lit up and she could see who it was.

But, like before, when her hand went to the light switch, she heard, "Susan, I said, don't be afraid of the dark."

She flinched her hand away and jumped.

'Calm down, now. It was nothing,' she reassured herself. But she was still wary.

She got over it and quickly turned on the light before the scary voice could say anything.

Susan cautiously walked over to her katil and laid down after changing into her pajamas.

What if there was a crazy in the house? The saat this thought went through the mother's head, she practically flew out of her katil to check on Max and Alex.

Susan slowly opened the door to Max's room first because her son was only down the hall from her. She peeked through the little crack of the door and saw only the usual things in his room: posters, a dresser, and a katil with a little lump in it where he was sleeping. She breathed a sigh of relief and went around the corner to her daughter's room.

She opened the door a crack to find Alex already asleep and perfectly okay. She breathed yet another sigh of relief and went back to her own bedroom. But, what she didn't know was that her shadow from the moonlight stayed where it was.

I found some urban legends online , and I'm gonna post some of them :)
This is 'The killer in the backseat':

ONE NIGHT a woman went out for drinks with her girlfriends. She left the bar fairly late at night, got in her car and onto the deserted highway. She noticed a lone pair of headlights in her rear-view mirror, approaching at a pace just slightly quicker than hers. As the car pulled up behind her she glanced and saw the turn signal on — the car was going to pass — when suddenly it swerved back behind her, pulled up dangerously close to her tailgate and the brights flashed.

Now she was...

This is 'Humans Can Lick, Too':

A YOUNG girl named Lisa was left alone on several accounts as her parents worked late. They bought her a dog to keep her company.

One night Lisa was awoken sejak a constant dripping sound. She got up and went to the dapur to turn off the tap properly. As she was getting back into the katil she stuck her hand under the bed, and the dog licked it.

The dripping sound continued, so she went to the bathroom and made sure the tap was turned off there, too. She went back to her bedroom and stuck her hand under...

In June of 1972, a woman appeared in Cedar Senai hospital in nothing but a white, blood-covered gown. Now this, in itself, should not be too surprising as people often have accidents nearby and come to the nearest hospital for medical attention. But there were two things that caused people who saw her to vomit and flee in terror.
The first being that she wasn't exactly human. she resembled something close to a mannequin, but had the dexterity and fluidity of a normal human being. Her face, was as flawless as a mannequins, devoid of eyebrows and smeared in make-up.

The kitten clamped on her face...

Carmen had a hard time making Friends in her new school. It was the middle of the school tahun and most of the students had no interest in being Friends the new girl. She spent many days alone, walking from class to class without speaking to anyone, but she eventually started hanging around with a group of five girls. Carmen thought these girls were her friends, but it wasn’t long before she discovered that they had been talking about her behind her back and spreading vile rumors.

When she confronted them, the girls turned on her and began bullying her every day, making her life a misery. They...

Even if the likelihood of intelligent life is .001%, there are over a billion stars with planets surrounding them, which makes the odds of there being at least ONE other intelligent life actually VERY high.

First of all, let's narrow-mindedly assume that all life needs exactly the same things we need in order to survive. The number of earth-like planets is actually not as small as anda may think. But regardless of that, let's now assume that life can exist under different circumstances, not just those needed sejak humans and Earth surface species. I specify surface species due to the link, which...
