I see it more as a skill game. even though you need a little luck to get right cards at the right time but also even with that I don't think it's enough just to get them right time you need to be able to play them right while anticipating what your opponent might do like considering an opponents reverse/face down card also some monster have effects if they're destroyed also there are flip effect cards as well also it's not just monsters there are magic and traps as well..so I mostly think it takes skill..
