(Rapidfire flashbacks. Little Akiza, Sign glowing on her arm and bemusement in her eyes, slams her father, against a wall, surrounded sejak violet flames while her mother looks at her in shock.)
(Change flashback. Teenage Akiza, in a red school blazer, walks away from her parents, visible through the window behind her, resentful and a bit nervous leaving home.)
(The flashback we’ve seen before with Akiza’s duel with the dark-haired girl at Duel Academy.)
(Change Flashback. Commander Koda as a teen at Duel Academy is thrown to the ground before teenage Akiza and her violet Witch, purple flames at their backs.)
(Yusei stands in the ruins of the jalan duel field, Sign glowing on his forearm as he stares at her. End Flashbacks.)
Akiza: (thinking) I'm scared......
(FB to Akiza’s test duel to enter the Arcadia Movement; she looks a tahun atau two older, and has violet Witch on the field)
Akiza: anda wanna test me?! Check out a direct attack from my violet Witch!
(Sayer himself is her opponent, and takes the hit. As violet Witch continues to zap him, he speaks to her; maybe the blast allows him to read her psychically.)
Sayer: Not bad… but if anda really wanna learn how to master your psychic powers, then stop running from the memories hidden in your past! Your family feared you! They were scared, and they tried to send anda away as far as possible, didn’t they! But now you’re here, in your new home! Forget the pain your family and Friends caused you! Leave the past behind and look to the future!
Akiza: But, I’m afraid!
(Still in violet Witch’s beam, Sayer walks toward her across the field, through the pain)
Sayer: I’m glad you’re afraid; it means anda know you’re making the right decision! I’ll always be here for you… I promise. Arcadia and I can be your new family. (Violet Witch stops blasting him) You’re not a monster, you’re you!
Akiza: I don’t know…
(Sayer walks the final steps to her and hugs her.)
Sayer: And anda never will unless anda open up to your new family, and accept who anda are! But be mindful of outsiders, for they will try to fill anda with false hope, and empty promises.
(change flashback; her first duel with Yusei.)
Yusei: Embrace your dragon! It’s beautiful! Just like anda are under that mask!
Akiza: I’m not beautiful, people don’t like me! And it’s this mark that’s caused all of the suffering I’ve had to live through!
Yusei: You’re right. But if anda stay mad, you’ll always suffer.
Akiza: So just accept it…? Embrace it…? Forget the past?! Hate’s all I know!
(And later, when her mask came off to reveal eyes filled with tears)
Yusei: I never wanted to stop you. I wanted to save you!
(change flaskback; her saat ending with Yusei winning)
Yusei: Listen. anda and your parents have a lot of catching up to do. But we Signers could really use anda around, too. Whaddaya say? Will anda fight with us? Will anda take a stand alongside your friends?
(Akiza sighs, the tears flowing down her cheeks)
Akiza: anda got it, Yusei.
(later)
Yusei: Akiza, I’m asking anda to trust me, to call me a friend.
Akiza: …I’ll try.
(End flashbacks)
