i know that "i dont know" isnt a valid answer to give but...i dont know ;) but i want to add that i dont think the f4 will ever actually tell users because they want to keep as much of the medal system under wraps as they can. they dont inform us of the formula (times,things anda need to do,amount of ratings,contributions etc)to prevent abuse. medal are as they say a bonus, something that should come as a surprise rather than something anda should strive for sejak fulfilling certain criteria in a certain amount of time.
I notice they try to do it once a week. Well, at least that's how I thought they did it before the new rating system changed. They might do it differently as I've been noticing some people getting a medal on 2 separate days of the week now.

I think it is like every two weeks for me atleast but sometimes they miss and I get one in the middle
I literally just got three in one day. I got a "rainbow" medal, a "facebook" medal, and a "golden coin" medal.

No they are anugerah not medals. anda get anugerah for visiting on certain special days of the tahun and for so many consequtive days etc.Medals are telah diberi for contributions and dedication to certain clubs.
