It dephines his movies. I think that one color became the new thing he should of kept with black & white. But also his color movies have a strange inoscence about them that freakes me out.

Done correctly, they can create more of an eerie feel with the lighting and shadows in the black and whites... create more of an unknown or sinister quality as it were.

If you saw the b/w in color today, you would be horrified at the clash of the colors he used to "get" the affect he wanted. This chemistry real defined his uniqueness in playing with intensity of his subjects.
