We all know Kate. Big, tough, lovable, kind, brave, well, almost. There is one thing Kate is afraid of.......water. She can't swim and she was involved in a traumatizing accident. Well, Hutch can change all of that.

Kate had been afraid of water ever since the accident, and accident she would remember, and haunt her for the rest of her life. She was walking alone on a hunt with Hutch. It was winter and they decided to menyeberang, cross over a Frozen lake. Hutch berkata the ice was thin in some areas and warned Kate to be careful. Kate, who was ahead did not even have time to respond. She fell through and was pushed sejak a current. Since she could not swim, She ended up about a meter from the hole and did not have much breath. She clawed at the ice and began to panic, praying that Hutch would find her and save him. She even tried getting her Lost air back sejak sucking on the trapped air. It worked for only a little bit. Kate was about to give up when she saw Hutch fall through seterusnya to her. Kate began to get dizzy and black out. Hutch, breathed into her and dug her out of the ice. "Kate! Kate! Breath!" Hutch cried. Hutch tried giving mouth to mouth with her and pushing on her chest. But she would not wake up. Hutch then broke down and cried. Deep down he loved Kate, he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Just when he was about to turn away, he heard her faint voice. "H-H-Hutch-h, I-I-I'm-m-m s-s-so-o c-cold." she stuttered. Hutch then knew what he had to do , he mounted Kate and shared his body warmth with her. "Thank Y-you Hutch." Kate said, tears in her eyes. "I was so scared." "Shhhhhhh Kate. Its over, I am here." Hutch said, nuzzling her. Kate smiled and then passed out again. Hutch quickly put her on his back and carried her home.

*6 months later*

Kate sat and watched her sister and her Friends play in the lake, swimming, breath holding contests, dunking. All in good fun, fun that Kate would not like to be part of. "Hey Kate! Come on in! Water is warm!" Lilly called. "Yeah! Come on Kate! How long can anda hold your breath? Can anda beat me?" Scar laughed. "No thanks guys. Im not int he mood." Kate said, trying to hide her true fear. "What's wrong Kate? Its just water." Sweets addded. "Guys, I dont want to come in." Kate said. "Aw sis! Your no fun." Lilly said, "An alpha needs a break now and then, look at Scar!" Lilly grinned, splashing water on her sister. Scare merpati under water and swam under the waterfall, she then entered a secret cave which led to the bahagian, atas and jumped off. "Whooo!" Scar said. Kate had enough. She did not need to be mocked. "I berkata I DONT WANT TO FUCKING SWIM! SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE!" Kate screamed and ran off. There was a silence. "What the fuck is her problem?" Scar said. Deep down, Lilly knew why Kate did not wanna swim.

*Flashback*

Lilly entered the cave to see Hutch, Winston, and Eve gathered around a petrified Kate. Hutch tried talking to her but she would cower and start crying. "What's up with her?" Lilly asked. "Your sister fell into a Frozen lake and got caught. Hutch saved her. Poor dear." Eve said. "Thank anda Hutch." Winston said. "It was no problem, Kate is a good friend of mine and I would do anything to protect her." Hutch said. "You two would make the perfect mates." Eve said. "As much as I like Humphrey, your little brother is just not suited for her." Eve said. "Yeah. Anyway, do anda mind if I stay with Kate?" Hutch asked. "Of course. Go ahead." Winston berkata as he and Eve went to their own den. Lilly approached her crying sister. Hutch then started crying, saying how much he loved her, although Kate was in so much shock she did not hear him.

*Flashback Ends*

"Guys, leave her alone." Lilly said. "She does not want to." The two other girls nodded and the three went on with their business. Kate ran through the trees, and up to a cliff. She paused to have time alone, well, at least she thought she was alone. Hutch was out hunting and saw Kate sitting sejak herself. Maybe this was his time to talk. She looked upset. Hutch walked up to her. "Kate?" he asked. "Oh, hei Hutch." Kate said, trying not to cry. "What's wrong? Is it about what happened." Hutch said. "Yeah, Hutch, it has bothered me so much, I can't swim! How can I be an alpha but not be able to swim." Kate said, she then began to tear up. "Im so embarassed." Hutch then nuzzled her. "It's ok Kate, we all have our fears." Hutch said. "I have a fear too." Hutch said. "What is that? anda can tell me Hutch." Kate said, nuzzling him back. Hutch himself began to tear up. "Well, I.....I....." he stuttered. "Yes?" Kate said. "I am afraid to hear what anda would say if when I told anda I Cinta you." Hutch said. Kate froze. "Hutch... anda Cinta me?" Kate berkata in complete shock. "Yeah. Ever since we were pups, I was jelous of my brother Humphrey. anda two were so close and He always seemed to take anda away from me!" Hutch sobbed. "Oh Hutch, when anda saved my under the ice, I knew anda did it out of love. I Cinta anda too." Kate said, nuzzling Hutch. Hutch smiled. "Will anda be my mate?" he asked. "Of course." Kate said, "Under one condition." "What?" he said. "You teach me how to swim." Kate said. Hutch smiled. "I would be glad too." he said.

Hutch then took Kate down to the Lake early the seterusnya morning. "Ok Kate, lets start sejak diving. I will take anda to the bottom of the Lake, we stay down there for about 10 seconds, then come up. Ok? Don't worry, I can hold my breath for a good amount of time. anda can too." Hutch said, Ciuman her. Kate got on Hutch's back and they swam out to the middle of the lake. "Ready, hold your breath." Hutch said. "Ok." Kate took a breath and held it. Hutch merpati under. They swam to the bottom and Kate let go of Hutch. Kate suddenly started kicking her paws and she swam! Kate, who still hat that breath holding expression on her face, looked a hutch. He gave a grin and let all of his air out. He then started for surface but found his foot caught in the rock. Hutch panicked and began to struggle for air. Kate, now no longer afraid, swam to Hutch and gave him as much air as possible. Hutch then passed out and Kate tried freeing his foot but he was stuck good. Kate, who was out of breath got a look at Hutch, He kissed her underwater and then mouthed, "Take care of my brother." He then let it all out and the water filled his lungs. Kate darted for the surface. "HUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she screamed. After Kate got out of the water, she went utama and told everyone the bad news. Humphrey broke down. He went to the lake and tried to dive in after his brother, but Kate merpati in after him and brought him to surface. Kate then kissed him to calm down. After that accident Kate decided to swim with her friends, because that is what he would have wanted.....
