When Kate and humphrey joined in on the hunt the battle had already begun and it was a thrashing of claws and fur. It was all confusion Kate and Humphrey already took down 1 caribou each, and then Humphrey saw Kate get get kicked in the stomach sejak a raging caribou he saw her drop to the ground instantly and he ran to try and save her.
