I think that it's a bit disrespectful but like there are real crimes that should be prioritized.

I suppose everyone should have the legal right to be a disrespectful edgelord without being thrown in jail. I'm more curious to see if these brave souls would try that with a Middle Eastern flag or something.

Also, how is flag burning a liberal thing?

I think that its associated with liberals because liberals are more vocal about not being patriotic than conservatives. I feel like conservatives are less likely to burn the flag because generally (I know that it's not always the case) conservatives tend to be more patriotic.

Just on personal experience, I've seen/heard more liberals talk about or actually burn the flag than I have conservatives. I don't agree with them doing it, but they have a right to do so.

there was a guy a couple of years ago who burned a gay rainbow flag not a building...not a car...not a person a flag. they gave him 10 years in jail!. now if we are going to put ppl in jail for 10 years for burning a rainbow flag, then the same should apply to ppl who burn the stars and stripes...OR we dont punish either of them for expressing themselves. but at the moment, there is a double standard.

I vote that we don't punish either. But that's just my opinion. Disrespect is annoying and rude but it shouldn't be a crime.
