Diazdiaz95 won peminat of the bulan for October: 2014, and I got the pleasure to interview him. So, Let's start the interview then.


1. Were anda expecting to win FOTM for October?

Not really. I mean, I came in saat place in September so I guess I was expecting to do well in this month's tinjauan but I was still surprised that I won and that I got so many undian and comments, I really appreciated them. I am happy that I won although I don't believe that I've done enough to deserve this tajuk and it is a little awkward for me to win since I am running FotM. I'm happy that I won in one of my kegemaran months, I was hoping to win sometime between October and February (my kegemaran months).


2. What characteristics do anda usually admire in Disney Princesses?

I admire Disney Princesses and any female characters who are brave, strong, and fight for what they believe in. I often like outspoken, sassy, and/or somewhat rebellious characters who go out and get things done. I think that my bahagian, atas 6 (Tiana, Snow White, Merida, Anna, Rapunzel, and Mulan) all exhibit most of these characteristics, they take stands and think for themselves without having to rely on others so much to get their happy ending. I just like those girls with a bit of attitude and spunk who are still nice and have a good sense of humor. I also admire elegance and grace but they aren't the most important things to me. I want to see princesses who act like lebih like real, modern girls.


3. What characteristics do anda NOT usually admire in Disney Princesses?

I'm not extremely attracted to the princesses who don't speak their mind atau do much to improve their situation. It is admirable to be dutiful and obedient but I like it when female characters take chances and make mistakes and aren't afraid to speak up when they don't like something. I also don't like it when female characters don't just get to the point and say what is on their mind. I guess I'm usually not as into the quieter, less proactive princesses.

-Favorite Disney Princess: Mulan
-Least kegemaran Disney Princess: Cinderella
-Favorite Disney Prince: Aladdin
-Least kegemaran Disney Prince: Charming (zzzzzz...)
-Favorite Disney Movie: Mulan, followed closely sejak Hunchback of Notre Dame
-Favorite Animated Movie: Probably Mulan. My kegemaran non-Disney animated movie is probably Rise of the Guardians, their are several others that I like a lot too though.
-Disney Movie anda feel the most nostalgia for: Hmm, I've been trying to figure this out lately and it is probably either Aladdin, Mulan, atau Hercules. Strangely enough I feel a lot of nostalgia for The Little Mermiad even though I never saw it growing up, maybe I did but forgot.


5. Outside of Disney Movies, what are some of your kegemaran movies?

I like several other animated Filem but aside from those I tend to like a wide variety of films and it's hard for me to pick favorites. I Cinta the bintang Wars series (yes, I'm a nerd lol) and I usually like films set in the past (period pieces) atau anything that features great acting, especially from any of my kegemaran actors. I'm the type of person who usually likes critically acclaimed, Oscar nominated films and likes well done dramas lebih than special effects extravaganzas atau generic comedies and horror films. I do have some guilty pleasures though, like Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement and others.


6. Which characteristics from your kegemaran Disney Princess do anda wish anda had?

I wish I was as Brave and selfless as Mulan. I don't think I'd be able to do what she did (taking her father's place in the army, fighting the Huns, defying the law like she did even at the risk of death, etc.). I also wish that I could fight like her atau be as good a quick thinker as her. I just wish that I were lebih like


7. Which characteristics from your least kegemaran Disney Princess are anda glad anda don't have?

I actually think that Cinderella has some admirable traits that I wouldn't mind having but I'm happy that I'm not nearly as submissive as her atau Aurora. Even though I try to always be nice, I do like to speak my mind and I would definitely stand up for myself atau at least try to fix my situation. If I were Aurora , for example, I wouldn't just mope around after being pretty much forced to marry a stranger, I'd run away atau refuse to go atau something else. The same with Cinderella, I'd go to the ball whether my dress is all ripped up atau not and I'd tell the Prince the truth about my life right from the beginning and not just run away at midnight. I'd stand up to those stepsisters if they ripped up my dress, I'd give them a piece of my mind *snaps* Cindy wouldn't take it anymore lol. I'd probably get kicked out of the house but oh well, actually I'd try to get outside help if I were in Cindy's position. What was the soalan again? Oh yeah, I'm definitely glad that I'm not that quiet and submissive.


8. Are anda planning to contribute to this spot for as long as anda are on here, atau are anda lebih interested in other clubs?

Of course, actually I've got a few artikel drafts that I'm working on right now for this club, I'd actually like to get lebih involved in the club and get to know lebih DP club users.


9. What is your kegemaran thing about this club?

The users. They are almost all very nice and make the club feel like a community, a family even. Of course, I also really like the articles, forums, polls, and other things but the best thing is definitely the users themselves :) Some other websites have such rude, annoying users so I'm happy that this club is full of so many fun, friendly people.



10. Which contribution do anda ENJOY contributing to the most? (Images, videos, polls, comments, articles, etc.)

Articles. Like I said, I've got a bunch of artikel-artikel that I'm working on and will hopefully be publishing soon and most of my contributions to this club have been articles. Unfortunately, I haven't published one in a while because I've been so busy.


11. According to your profile, anda joined Fanpop in March 2014. How did anda discover the site? Did anda want to sertai it immediately?

O.k. so this might be a long story. Well, it was March, as anda said, and I'm not exactly sure what I was searching for at the time, if was either artikel-artikel about Frozen atau Disney Princess lists but probably the first option. I came across a Frozen hate artikel on this site and I hadn't met anyone in real life who hated that movie so I wanted to see what the writer had to say. Well, it turns out that the artikel was written sejak a certain user who is no longer active here but was usually rude. I was really annoyed sejak the artikel because she gave very superficial reasons for hating the film, she was so negative, annoying, and rude and the artikel was badly written so I got mad and decided that I needed to respond to the article. It's o.k. if she didn't like Frozen but I really didn't like the way she expressed herself so I immediately joined the club just to komen on the artikel (hence my dumb username, I wasn't really thinking it through since I had no intention to actually stay on the site at the time). Well, I never did komen on the artikel because I checked out the rest of the club, liked what I saw, and started working on my first article, completely forgetting the Frozen article. Even though I didn't really like that user I do have to admit that I wouldn't have joined Fanpop when I did if it wasn't for her. I remembered that I had read some DP beauty artikel-artikel on this site months before joining but at the time I hadn't thought of actually joining. It is kind of a weird story, I guess I just thought that the club was cool and decided to stay. Wow, that was a long answer, I warned you.



12. Which Disney Characters do anda feel strong, positive opinions towards?

My bahagian, atas 6 Disney Princesses, my bahagian, atas 4 Princes (Aladdin, Kristoff, Flynn, Naveen), the Winnie the Pooh characters, Meeko and Percy, Edna Mode (she's fabulous), several of the villains (Queen Grimhilde, Maleficent, Jafar, Hades, Frollo, YZMA, Kronk, Iago), most of the cast of Aladdin, Hercules, Mulan, the Toy Story films, Mike and Sully, Dory, Esmeralda, Megara, Cogsworth, Timon, Pumbaa, and Rafiki, Mickey, Oswald, and most of the main characters like Donald and Goofy, Jane, Professor Porter, Terk and Tantor, Jim Hawkins, Sebastian, ugh I'm sure I've forgotten some characters. I'm sure I'll Cinta the Big Hero 6 characters. Let's just say that I generally have very positive feelings toward Disney characters.


13. Which Disney Characters do anda feel strong, negative opinions towards?

-_- Pretty much the entire casts of Chicken Little, Dinosaur, and utama on the Range, especially that dumb, fat, loudmouthed main cow. Prince Charming (still snoozing), Gaston, The Prosepctor and that annoying Al guy from Toy Story 2, Buzz Lightyear when he was all high and mighty and thought he wasn't a toy. Sid, Monstro, and I'm sure their are others, I just can't remember them.


14. Is this one of your kegemaran clubs? If so, why?

It's actually my kegemaran club because it is a Disney club, the users are great, and it is probably the most active club on Fanpop.


15. Who are some of your kegemaran users/closest Friends on the club?

Oh my, well I like almost everyone on this club except for the occasional trolls atau rude users who only seem to come on to start drama. Some of my closest Friends on here are BKG201, fiina, 324anna, and Tygers_Eye, I've probably talked to them lebih than any other people. I've also talked to Silverrose (I think he was the very first person that I ever private messaged on here), Sk8er_grl, Shanyuisboss, and others quite a bit and consider them my Friends on here. I don't want to forget anyone, I really do like all of the active members on here and have talked to many of them and hope to get to know many others as well.


16. Which Disney Princess do anda think anda act the most like?

Hmm probably Belle atau Tiana although I've also been compared lebih than once to Rapunzel and I do have my Anna moments so I'm probably like a weird mix of those four. I have similarities with all of the princesses but I'd say Belle because I Cinta to read and don't usually fit in with people in real life, I'm a dreamer like her and Tiana but I'm also considered intelligent and mature like those two and I'm also pretty hardworking like Tiana, sometimes. It's hard to describe myself and compare myself to a princess. According to Fanpop, I act most like Rapunzel.



17. Which Disney Princess do anda think anda act the least like?

I guess Ariel. I'm adventurous but definitely not at her level. She can be downright reckless and I'm definitely not reckless. I don't think that she thinks through things that much, which is different from me as well and she is kind of irresponsible with her concerts and I always try to be responsible when I'm working on a performance atau have assignments to do. Oh, I'm also not very much like Aurora, like I berkata earlier I speak up when I don't like something and I take action, unlike her. I also don't spend very much time in the forest with woodland Haiwan lol. I'm also not as graceful as her and I'm a pretty bad dancer.

18. If anda could rate all of the Disney Princess Filem from a percentage of 0% to 100%, what would anda rate them all?

Hmm, this is an interesting but tough question. I'll try to be as accurate as possible.

atau something like that lol. I kind of just put the first percentage that came to mind for each one, I'm not even sure if they properly match up to my list. I guess these are pretty accurate though.


19. What are some of your interests outside of Disney Movies?

I Cinta to sing and act (I'm actually currently in a musical, Godspell) and I also Cinta to read, listen to music, and watch different types of movies. I'm a bit of a film geek in some ways and I like many genres of music, I'm currently really into classical music. I'm into bintang Wars, Marvel comics, history, different cultures, countries, and languages, and Once Upon a Time so I'm definitely nerdy lol. I'm interested in a lot of things though.

20. What do anda think, is something Disney should do in the future for their movies?

I think that Disney should focus on making lebih films that are aimed lebih at adults and teenagers like HoND. I'd like to see lebih dark atau serious subjects in Disney films and lebih cultural/ethnic diversity as well. I think that they should stop using the same formula that they usually use for their Disney Princess films and instead allow their writers to have lebih freedom and be lebih inventive. I'd like them to also make a wider variety of films. Studio Ghibli and Pixar tend to be a bit lebih inventive with their stories so I'd like to see films that are different from Disney. It would also be nice if they didn't try to make everything enjoyable only for younger kids atau funny all the time instead of making films that are enjoyable for all age groups, not that they aren't doing that now. Why don't they just make me the head of Disney's film department? lol.

21. What is a "mistake" that anda think Disney made in the past with one of their movies, that anda hope doesn't happen again?

With Chicken Little, utama on the Range, and some other films I think Disney focused too much on young children instead of making the films with the whole family in mind. They also have had periods when their animasi has been weak so I hope that they can continue to have good animation. One big mistake was completely getting rid of hand drawn animation, they should definitely bring it back, I don't mind CGI but I'd like to see some traditional animasi as well. Oh, and they seemed to have rushed Frozen a lot because of all of the animasi mistakes and plot holes and even though it didn't really affect the film's success, I'm sure that the film could've been much better if it hadn't been rushed so I hope that they won't do that again.
Oh, and I hope that they will always focus on making the best films possible and keeping the Disney magic alive :)


22. Are anda most active in this club, atau are anda lebih active in others?

I'm only really active on this club. I rarely check other Kelab because they aren't very active unfortunately. I did start a club, the Physical Beauty club *cough*join if anda haven't already*wink* but it's just starting out so it isn't very active yet. I used to check other Kelab but then I realized that they were pretty dead. It's a shame that the Disney club is so dead.



23. Why is your kegemaran Disney Princess your favorite?

Oh, well, I'll try to make this answer short. Mulan is brave, smart, selfless, and funny (I actually think that she is the funniest princess) and while she is mature she is still sort of clumsy and awkward even at the end of the film, these are all traits that I really like in characters. She stands up for what she believes in, wants to bring her family honor and save her father, and is a great example of hard work and self improvement in animated films. She does transform but she doesn't change completely, she's just a better fighter and lebih confident and experienced sejak the end of the film. She has almost always been my kegemaran and I've always loved her movie, I guess that nostalgia also plays a part in why she's my favorite.



24. Why is your kegemaran Disney Prince your favorite?

I Cinta that Aladdin is charming, adventurous, and kind but he's not perfect. Actually, he's quite a flawed character. He's a liar, a thief, and a trickster yet I've always found him very likable and relatable. He dreams of one hari having a better life and when he sees the chance he takes it, I like that. Nostalgia also plays a big part in why I Cinta him. I think that he is just such a great, multi layered character, he is dreamer and a fighter, both are things that I like to see in characters. He is resourceful, a quick thinker, friendly, and funny, what's not to like? O.k. I know that he should have just told melati, jasmine the truth but I also understand why he didn't, he was scared that she'd shun him and he also knew that it wouldn't have been possible for him, a streetrat, to legally marry the princess.



25. Why is your least kegemaran Disney Princess your least favorite?

I just don't relate much to Cinderella. She is nice and all but not very exciting. My kegemaran scenes with her are the ones where she is complaining and when she is about to hit Lucifer, why? Because she acts like a real person then and se shows some sass. Unfortunately, she's keseluruhan not very interesting to me atau realistic compared to the other princesses. She just seems a bit too perfect and proper for me.



26. Why is your least kegemaran Disney Prince your least favorite?

I'll just use a komen that I made on a tinjauan not too long ago. He's BORING. I'm getting sleepy just thinking about him and, oh too late, ...zzzzzzz. *Drowsily wakes up* Huh, what happened? Oh yeah, Charming is boring as tar and he barely appears in the film which is also a downside but Snow White's creeper of a prince appears for less time, barely speaks, and could have very well been an ax murderer searching for his seterusnya victim but I still like him infinitely lebih than Prince Boring (because I'm not sure where Charming came from because he certainly doesn't seem THAT charming). He's much better in the sequels but apparently we never count the sequels here, which is a shame because then maybe Cindy and Charming wouldn't be my least favorites.


27. Have anda ever questioned your love/lost interest for the Disney Princesses, atau Disney in general?

I Lost interest in Disney a little bit during the utama on the Range-Chicken Little-Meet the Robinsons-Bolt period, pretty much when they were starting to use CGI only. My interest returned with Tangled. I still loved the renaissance films during that time and other Disney films but I hadn't been following the new releases very closely. I had kind of Lost my faith in Disney's future, shame on me.


28. Do anda change your opinions on the Disney Princesses often, atau do they usually stay the same?

My lists usually change a bit over time but I rarely ever make huge changes to them. My bahagian, atas 3 and my bottom 2 have stayed the same, albeit in a different order, since Frozen was released. My general opinions on DPs don't usually change much. Sometimes I slightly change my opinions after rewatching a movie atau good arguments for atau against a character but nor always.



29. If anda could choose one Disney Princess, one Disney Prince, one Disney Villain, and one Disney Heroine to be Friends with, who would they be?

Ooh this is so hard. The Disney princess would be Anna atau Rapunzel. The prince would be Aladdin probably. The heroine...Esmeralda, Megara, atau Jane? Esmeralda, Megara, atau Jane? Hmm, I guess Esmeralda. The villain would be...ugh this is so hard. Either Hades, Yzma, Maleficent, atau the Evil Queen, hmm Hades is funny but kind of creepy, then again so is Yzma lol. I'll go with Maleficent, Grimhilde might be too vain to have as a friend.


30. Is there anything anda would like to say to all the people of this club?

That anda are all wonderful! Thank anda for nominating me and voting for me. I hope to continue being a part of this community and contributing as much as possible. Let's all work together to make this club as fun and interesting as possible, let's keep it alive sejak contributing a lot and just being around. Let's be as supportive and civil as possible. Hopefully we can all continue to Cinta Disney through the years even after our Fanpop days and that the bonds we create in this club can continue for years to come as well.
