Moana follows the adventure of spirited teenager Moana Waialiki (set to be Disney's first Polynesian princess) who sails out on a daring mission to prove herself a master wayfinder and fulfill her ancestors’ unfinished quest. Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast South Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped — and no one today knows why.



During her journey, she meets the once-mighty demi-god Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), and together, they traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous fiery creatures and impossible odds.



Like most of the modern era Disney Princess movies, Moana will be CG-Animated. The film is to be directed sejak John Musker and Ron Clements, who were both the directors of Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and The Princess and the Frog. This will be Musker and Clements' first fully computer-animated film.



Moana is a musical film produced sejak Walt Disney animasi Studios and distributed sejak Walt Disney Pictures. It is slated sejak Disney to be the 56th film in the Disney animated feature canon. The film will be released after Zootopia but before Gigantic. The current release tarikh of the film is November 23rd 2016.



The confirmed cast senarai currently includes Dwayne Johnson. Two confirmed animal characters are a bird named Hei Hei and a pig named Pua. There will also be a character named Tui, who is the chief (presumably of Moana's island).



Many peminat-peminat have praised the Rekaan of the main character Moana Waialiki for having lebih realistic body proportions. Moana will also bring some long awaited diversity to the princess line-up, as the last four princesses have all been Caucasian.
