Hi everyone!

Recently, I telah diposkan a soalan asking peminat-peminat to senarai five personality traits most desirable in a Disney princess. My traits poll, which was going to be the foundation of this article, was based on TheMusicalMolls' senarai of traits; the first response. I didn't bother to check my soalan again for other responses, but when I returned to my soalan after I telah diposkan the poll, I was surprised to see that lebih peminat-peminat had bothered to answer my question. At that point, it was only a handful of people, and since I found their lists highly similar to TheMusicalMolls', I let it be. I hope I didn't insult anybody in doing this.

But then I returned to my soalan this morning, because my kemaskini berkata that lebih people had answered my question. I was really astounded at the number of people who bothered to answer; I have to admit, being my pessimistic self, I wasn't expecting lebih than two atau three people to acknowledge my question.

So I switched gears. I'm going to base this artikel off the most commonly stated personality traits in the jawapan to my question:


Kindness/ Compassion – 9 times

Plain, everyday kindness in Disney princesses is truly important, and peminat-peminat realize that. I see so many peminat-peminat of the early DPs, whom I think are largely defined sejak their kindness, in this club. It's lovely to see that. It's also part of being a Disney princess to exercise compassion and help and protect those at a disadvantage - Snow White straightened up the dwarves' house because she believed they were orphans, and I Cinta her for that.


Bravery/Courage – 8 times

It's easy to see that we value courage in a DP both in Fanpop and in the outside world. Mulan, often at atau near the bahagian, atas of fans' DP rankings, not only saved China from the Huns, but voluntarily enlisted in the Chinese army knowing she could be killed, marking her as one of the most courageous Disney princesses. Ariel and Rapunzel, who constantly have peminat-peminat supporting them, both found the courage to follow their dreams.
I was also surprised to see that Tiana seems to be gaining popularity, going off of my baru-baru ini polls. On one, she is admired lebih than Mulan, and on the kegemaran Disney Princesses poll, she has outdone Mulan. Although she may not be the most outgoing atau sociable princess, people realize that it also takes courage when you're working to make your dreams come true, to keep going.


Selflessness - 6 times

It's also pretty evident that we value selflessness in Disney Princesses. Mulan and Belle, two of the most popular DPs, both give up something for their fathers' safety. And the Converse also applies - we don't appreciate selfish Disney Princesses. This is seen in the criticisms of Elsa, one of the least popular DPs in Fanpop, and in the criticisms of Ariel, still a popular DP.


Intelligence/ Common Sense – 5 times

It's pretty obvious that having a head on your shoulders is something peminat-peminat value highly. Mulan, one of the lebih popular DPs in this club and often on the bahagian, atas of people's lists, has a very inventive and analytical mind, while Belle, whose literacy and level-headedness has been emphasized time and time again, remains beloved sejak many.


Cheerfulness/Optimism – 4 times

The importance to peminat-peminat for a Disney princess to uphold a positive, cheerful attitude is shown in many fans' Cinta for Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel, Rapunzel, and Anna, to name a few. Both Snow White and Cinderella endured an abusive childhood, and get a lot of appreciation for this from peminat-peminat here. And Ariel, Rapunzel, and Anna have infectious cheer and bubbly personalities that charm everyone around them.



We all wish that we had a little lebih of these traits. The Disney princesses just represent the people we could be and the lives we could live if we did.
