Obvious, yeah, they're both warrior women..BUT Brienne has low self-esteem, much like Mulan, and despite her rough time fitting in with traditional feminine stuff she has a loving and supportive father that she seems to want to please the most. Much like Mulan.

Mulan's kinda okay, but I prefer Brienne. Her actress is great and she's very noble in the books.

One of my favorite fictional ladies! Such a strong woman, but also very vulnerable.

I like both for similar reasons. Yes, Gwendoline Christie is perfect casting for the role. She's also in Star Wars, the force awakens...

Too bad BOTH isn't an option, here. Oh, well. But this does explain why I have a large Mulan balloon and a Brienne of Tarth action figure in full armor. I like my ladies!

I love them both, though brienne seems to hate being a woman

^in the show maybe, in the books she respects other women.

And yeah, a true role model to me. She's almost a female Ned except able to... well, not die from Toomuchhonoritis she works so hard to be a true knight.
